Classic Daiwa reels - Just a few...
I recall them being around $80-90. The Team Daiwa's with the flip tops were around $120. A Citica was $80, and a Curado B was $90, and I recall that $10 being a big deal in what to get. Somewhere, I have a BPS catalog from '94, so that would be the time frame, I think.

Any Luck In Upstate Ny?
Thank those that can't abide by what you describe for it.

Any Luck In Upstate Ny?
Not all, and just because they are unattended, doesn't mean that no one is checking on them during normal operation. Believe me, I'm just as irritated, but that's what they have to do. In warmer states, people couldn't help but crowd up at ramps. I see this as a preemptive move to prevent that as well. Pretty sure the only DEC people working are econ officers. I haven't heard anything that would prevent me slipping my kayaks in via any accessible location.

Any Luck In Upstate Ny?
It makes perfect sense since many employ people to work the launch sites. If it is closed, it allows them to apply for unemployment, and avoid exposure. I haven't been by any local DEC launches to see if there any physical barriers in place.

Transition From M to MH Power Rod
1/2 oz. or better for MH gear. An M power would suit a 3/8 oz. spinnerbait better.

Okuma Helios SX owners? Please Speak Up!
I have an SX, and it's pretty much a set it and forget it deal. Not fussy at all. I use it on a general purpose 6-10 MXF rod with 15# Invisx for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, square bills, even light T-rigs. I couldn't say how light a bait it throws, since I use spinning for anything 1/4 oz. or less. It palms like my Alphas platform reels.

Uni, Palomar, and Improved Cinch knots have worked for me for decades.

Well, that's a while 'nother situation that I do not have a solution for. I find stuff in the weirdest places when the water turns hard.

Where's your fishing rod made?
The skilled labor is the part I most admire and value. That's the most expensive part.

Cheap tungsten?
Label the compartment they're in, or use a paint pen. Not perfect, but works.

Help with huge cold front, I’m worried ..
Those are the extreme events I was referring to. We had them too. It upsets fishing in the short term. For the long term, it's a blip. Two or three days of stable, upward trends, with safe water, and it's time to get out there. Oh yeah, it's was snowing just a few minutes ago. ?

Cheap tungsten?
I'd be more worried about the delivery person's germs than anything else.

Help with huge cold front, I’m worried ..
It would be quite the swing to see a 3° shift in Erie at 15 FOW without some major wave action, rainfall, or turnover event. Ponds are much more dynamic, and often the focus when temps are on the steady incline.

Daiwa vs Shimano casting reels
My left handed TD-X HSDL reels are at least 15 years old. Never skip a beat.
