  1. My OG Hard Gill is about as real looking to me as it gets in the water. I've caught many fish on that bait. The realism certainly doesn't hurt.
  2. Most right handed guys I fished, ran the boat with the port side to the targets. If you are righty in the back of the boat, a back hand cast is defintely a necessity. For skipping with a bait caster, I use zero brakes, and lots of spool tension, which is exactly the opposite of my normal setting.
  3. I think they are more afraid of boring TV coverage. It's more dramatic if they hand land them. What pros do shouldn't prevent us from using all the tools we can to safely and securely land a fish.
  4. That just means you're doing it right. https://photos.smugmug.com/Family/Fishing-Journal/i-s4fmHNk/0/2230cc78/X3/20100509-BaitsWalleyeSmallie-04-X3.jpg
  5. This hits close to home, lmao.
  6. All of them? Around 60. From what you have, you might add a cranking stick or punching set up. Otherwise, you could upgrade what you have, if that's all you need.
  7. You should get a set of drums It helps with those anger issues. I should put my "workout" behind the kit up.
  8. Hooks still escape in my Pro Latch Hydroflo boxes. The Edge Terminal box prevents this. So does any other utility box with molded compartments.
  9. Senko falls quite a bit faster than a trick worm. Application? Use what gets bit. I almost never use a trick worm for wacky rigs. I have a few bags on hand, but they aren't my go to like a Senko.
  10. Invisx lasted 5 seasons in heavy use on a spinning reel. I'm on season 4 with Tatsu.
  11. AFAIK, it's a brand. I think I recall paying around $25 for 4 oz. That is more than you'd need in most lifetimes. You should be able to find a 1/2 oz. dropper bottle for less. Smooth Drag sells a 1 oz. bottle for under $10.
  12. No AR is a deal breaker for me. There's nothing magical about the construction that any ~$150 reel has. I know there's some nostalgia in "proven" designs, but in this case, I'd go with a more modern reel.
  13. You should go all Monsanto on that stuff!
  14. I'm not exactly sure where I came in contact. Always been pretty sensitive to the stuff. Identifying the plant and avoiding it has been my BEST way to avoid getting a rash.
  15. Last time I had it, had to go to the ED and get a shot to help me breath. I don't even think I was in contact with any weeds.
  16. Been playing small bars, clubs, and gin joints since I was 15, so I know quite a few musicians, both living and dead. Some even famous and infamous.
  17. Just watching this video gives me the itchies
  18. 20# 832 has been on one spinning reel for a few years now. I find that after a month or so of hard fishing, it needs to be trolled out to get rid of the twist, which causes some pretty obnoxious wind knots. I don't get this with Power Pro on the same reel.
  19. If you can somehow get off shore at that spot in Spencerport, there are some really cool rock piles that produce smallies well as temps increase, but before the slop takes a foot hold. They're just outside of casting range from shore. One of the larger rock piles is clearly marked with a Iron spike. If you can go there in winter, you can see all of the structure. Once the weeds set in, a quiet stroll along the road side with a heavy punching set up can yield some solid fish. You're other options from shore are hit or miss, casting under any of the lift bridges or fixed bridge abutments. There's not much structure in the main canal channel. I mostly ever catch walleye out there.
  20. 8 My friend Zach plays drums for BELLS≥
  21. I did this yesterday, in fact. Song list: Subdivisions Limelight Ocean Song Turn it On Vital Signs
  22. It's by Ellison Park. You can't fish there anymore. The land and mansion was purchased by RIT.
