Baitcaster worm gear
Grease is just oil with detergent added to it. Either is fine. I prefer a heavier oil.

Deep Structure Fishing
The ping didn't bother this one, or many others that day. Was fishing in 38' water.

Crankbait Back Splitting
None of my LC have ever done this, but all of my Live target Craws did, save for one specific color. This was before they were ever thrown, and some were still in the package. BPS took them back for full refund. I'd contact your retailer, or LC customer service directly.

Battery maintenance
I've had both types, and really never noticed a difference. I wasn't running really high draw graphs, but usually had livewells on recirc all day.

Deep Structure Fishing
I've caught so many fish while "fishing the cone," I'm in the doesn't matter camp. I'm fishing at least 12' deep though, so maybe that's the difference. That said, I don't skip spots just because I didn't mark fish. Often, I see them rise from the bottom, to a drop shot plastic, and then you feel the bite.

Never caught anything on a crankbait :( anyone else ?
Same. Crankbaits were more cost effective than plastics. A $3 Rebel craw could catch a 100 fish, where a $1.50 bag of plastic grubs might be a dozen or so. The main thing with cranking for me, is not to just haul water. You should hitting, banging, deflecting, and snagging things underwater. You say there are weeds, then pick a bait that runs list a little lower than the tops of those weeds. Start your retrieve, and when the bait hits the weeds, kill it and give some slack. A diver will back up out of cover as it rises. Give the rod a moderately firm snap after a few seconds, and star your retrieve again, repeating the process.

Make a trip back here. We're stuck in the 80s. No fall yet!

Pumpkin #1. We're gonna wait a bit, until temps come down from the 80s to finish the others.

Snaps vs tie on lures
I would NOT use a snap for hollow frogs and Texas rigs. There's too much shock applied at the hookset. Anything that comes with a split ring to tie to, I replace the ring with a Duo Lock snap.

BlueSky Boatworks 360 Angler - Yak or boat?
The only reason anyone would care how someone classifies a watercraft would be for tournament rules. Some wouldn't allow this craft. Otherwise, call it a duck, have a blast catching fish from a craft that suits you. Congrats on the new boat!

Yeah, my youngest quit caring about carving pumpkins last year. Luckily, my girlfriend's 4 year old still likes to do it. Been looking up stencils for carving tonight!

Anyone got a good budget baitcast reel they like?
I would too. I like my Assassin. It's held up well for two seasons.
