  1. This is where I had mine done: http://www.marksprops.com/
  2. I like that SmokerCraft with the Yammie. Both look pretty clean.
  3. Don't pick up a rod. Happens quite frequently up here on smaller, popular waters. Someone goes by me close with the big motor on, and they're getting a earful.
  4. Nah, I actually think you did good with those weights. Are you using a baitcast or spinning setup? If it's the latter, the smaller weights would be easier to cast.
  5. There's been a few. My Grandpa My Dad The guy in a bass boat who was nice enough to explain a Texas rig worm to me, and give me some hooks, weights, and Culprit worms as he passed by our dock The Hibdons Denny Brauer Larry Nixon
  6. All I care about is that they don't recognize that it's a lure.
  7. Who are you again? What's my name? It's been a long, cold winter.
  8. I'm only 46, Dwight. Oh wait, maybe early onslaught...
  9. I usually drop the trolling motor, and ask if it's okay if I squeeze past. When in doubt, quietly ask. Most people will tell you it's fine, or what side they're fishing on.
  10. I did the same thing, and then got it. I even googled the lake.
  11. I remember your posts. Glad to have you back!
  12. You said reels twice. Otherwise, these work well for fishing or decoration. How about you get a little more specific and maybe you'll get some decent advice.
  13. Pretty much every thread you've started is about how terrible fishing is, or that something doesn't work. What's the deal? We're here to help you catch, but if you're just going to complain, that won't put fish in the boat. Give us a breakdown of what you're using, where, and how. What the cover is like, how deep, etc. There's a GIGANTIC thread on how to fish TB. Pages of info on it. Let us help you get better.
  14. Ithaca Falls in fall. I had to get in the river for the shot.
  15. I think you're probably right. There are places I'll throw an arky that I won't throw a brush. However, an arky would work fine jut about anywhere I'd throw a brush head.
  16. Weedless brush head.
  17. If some company came out with a balanced, light weight spinning reel without a bail, and a nice line roller, I'd use it. I have no purpose for the bail, other than it's an extra step to make a cast. I seat the line on the roller after the cast, and manually flip the bail back. Come to think of that, the bail adds two steps! Off with the bails!
  18. Perfect description! @new2BC4bass, as reason recommended, a ml, or light power spinning rod with 4-6# mono works for me. I don't like a whippy rod for this, though.
  19. It's a plus to me, too. The new KastKing braid is made in the USA now as well. Kudos to both companies!
  20. Sounds like an original Rebel Minnow: https://www.rebellures.com/rebel-minnow
  21. Water temp could be 80°, and air temps below freezing, and you'll get ice in the guides. I know that's extreme, but you get the point. I'll fish winter streams that might 40° water temps, but air temps half that, and guides freeze up. I've use a pool thermometer, and cast it out, let it sit, and read the temp.
  22. Probably because they want to get the bait back and cast again. The gears are not engaged when the thumb bar is pressed, so retrieve speed has no influence on casting.
