Packing grease on bearings???
I have the greaser tool. Works well for knob bearings to get a smooth retrieve, or keep them from spinning incessantly. I have saltwater customers that request greases bearings as well. A soak in a good degreaser, like Perfect Solution, will get the grease out, and a final bath in acetone or rubbing alcohol to finish the job. In other words, if you value smoothness over speed, it's okay to grease them. Do not grease spool bearings. You'll severely degrade casting performance.

Best casting rod for striper fishing.
Probably similar philosophy as our centrepin fishing for trout.

Yo Zuri Hybrid....
YZ would definitely be an upgrade. Be sure to match up diameters, not stated pound test, to what you're used to running.

It's on TW. $10. Booyah Toad Runner Frogs

What do you think, do I need to level my trailer?
That's a great looking device if you have multiple trailers and multiple tongue heights. How much do they run?

Whopper plopper. . .why the hype??
There's some hype for the Teckel Sprinker frog, lol. Actually, probably a good suggestion for a grassy lake.

Yo Zuri Hybrid....
He's talking about spinnerbaits and cranks. In both cases, the line is protected.

Tracker 2018 Heritage/2019 Classic edition boat
My point is no one will buy a $100 fish finder without the TD. I also don't know of anyone that sells a fish finder without a TD.

closed loop spinner baits.
The closed version work well for bigger baits made for pike and musky, where they are actually strong enough to yank the knot down the wire towards the head or the worse, the blades. Sometimes the bait gets mutilated on the strike and hookset, causing this. Not as much an issue with bass.

Not much, besides if you want sell it to recoup funds from the upgrade, You'll want to sell both together..

Yo Zuri Hybrid....
The former. I can't think of anything that YZ does better than Invisx. Don't get me wrong, it's a great all purpose line, but I won't be replacing my Invisx for the applications you describe any time soon.

Yo Zuri Hybrid....
Why would you downgrade your line?

Best casting rod for striper fishing.
I have a smaller one, meant for steelhead and salmon. Works the same, but it has a cork arbor. I have no idea how they fished with these, but I dig having as a conversation piece.

Just to let y’all fellas ...
We had that weird warm spell all over the country last February.

How many of you use more than 3 rods consistently on a kayak?
I like to have a few more places to put a rod than the number rods I bring. For example, my crate holds 6. There's two recessed holders lust behind the seat. Plus, two rocket launchers up front. That's 10 total, twice as much as I usually bring. This way, when I need to retie, unbutton, or photograph a fish, I have many convenient options instead of dealing with one or more rods in my lap.

Help please- Inventor w/ a product research question regarding landing a fish....
This has to be one of the most ignorant statements that gets posted over and over. You don't know what you're talking about at all. I use both lefty and righty reels. I always use a two handed cast, except when flipping and pitching. My hand is on the reel handles before the bait touches down. Watch someone cast, like KVD. Learn what's going on before you insult other anglers. Because really, it's you that hasn't been taught correctly. Both how to cast, and manners. I'm sure you're only kidding, but seriously. What you're spewing is nonsense when it comes to switching hands, and most anglers do the cast correctly, avoiding the pitfall you describe. Mine aren't, but I feel the need to course correct.

I agree. Seems like the OP is trying to solve a problem that could just be a technique issue. I hand land fish all the time, not just bass either, and that always means taking a hand off the reel. Even when I net, I do not trust others to do it, so I do that myself as well. No way to net by yourself without taking your hand off the reel.

Best Spinning Reel Under $75
TRIO-30S would be a good choice.

deep diving crankbait......does color matter?
Almost all my crankbaits are Lucky Craft, and one color: MS American Shad. That pattern covers the spectrum for me. The only time I get a few colors is for flat sided baits. Even then, it's usually a red, a dark, and a light pattern. I fish cranks A LOT. I'm real fussy about lines, rods, and reels to throw each size (I have 8 cranking sticks now, lol) but don't really get too caught up in the color game. From the Dredger line, I like Big Money and Sexy Back.

Spiderwire Stealth Glo-vis Braid vs. Power Pro Super Slick Braid
65# line? Either will work. Any preference will be just that.
