Fishing Jet Ski
I've seen a couple people rig up their jet skis for fishing. I'd rather have a small jon boat with a traditional O/B and trolling motor.

Fishing Jet Ski
Gonna be pretty tough for a water cooled motor work in the ice and snow.

Frog fishing with a spinning rod?
I've set up plenty of people with spinning gear for frogging. You're looking for a Heavy/Fast rated rod, 7 to 7-6", whatever your preference. You might find what you want looking at "inshore" rods, instead of "bass" rods. Fish don't bite based on the labels on the rods. Add a 5000 series spinning reel loaded with 40-50# braid, and get froggy.

Braid guys - what's your take?
If they are two well tied knots, physics says that each knot carries less burden, as the number knots increases. Hmmm. I used to make that argument, too. All the while, fishing for steelhead and salmon using a centerpin, float rigging, and 8# line. The terminal rig has no less than 5 knots. The fish sometimes run more than double the line rating. If there was an issue with knots, that situation would shake it out.

Sad when you need to use Live bait
I don't know, but they look like fashion models for LL Bean. They seem to do an awful lot of false casting, and no real catching.

What's BFHP? And I whine about anything, lol.

15# CXX works fine. Retie often. Don't whine about the memory.

Maybe some days, others maybe not. They're similar, yet different baits. I like them, but I like Super Flukes, too.

A fluke with coffee scent and a different body and tail, but I treat it like fluke, rigging and fishing wise.

Looks like stoppers for spinnerbait trailer hooks. You could also use clear, small ID, vinyl hose cut into small pieces, which is what I use to keep the trailer hooks on my spinnerbaits.- Sad when you need to use Live bait
I use what might be considered "natural bait" for trout fishing: roe bags or spawn sacks from harvested hen trout. Many fly fisherman look down on the practice, but I don't care. I don't look down on anyone fishing with live bait, so long as they follow regulations. In NY state, the rules can be particular about where your bait comes from, especially minnows. You must have a receipt from the bait shop and the bait shop must use approved sources for live bait. There's no shame in it, but for me it's more of a control issue. I can't really control where craw goes, or a minnow swims. I like to be the one that controls the action. Much of the stigma trickles down from the top level tournaments that ban the use of live bait. So, as the techniques that the pros develop are shared in press, TV, and the internet, live bait rarely appears. There's more to it than just soaking a softshell crab or night crawler. When I was a kid, we use softshell crabs for smallmouth out in Lake Ontario, and even then it more about location than just drowning baits. You still have to find them. I honestly don't know if I can come up with a more "finesse" method than live bait. So in my opinion, is it sad? Not at all. Enjoy your fishing.- What is the better bearing swivel: Spro or Matzuo?
