  1. It's like those satisfaction guarantees. Everyone is satisfied, until they're not, lol.
  2. I don't understand the question. Comparable to what? What are you comparing? Braid has virtually no abrasion resistance. Lines like Fluoro, Copolmer, traditional "mono" are more resistant.
  3. Thanks @Team9nine. How do you get Cherry Coke off the monitor?
  4. Here's a start: https://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/ And if you like videos: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/How-To-Fishing-Videos
  5. If you're using a real fluoro leader, that's one of it's strengths.
  6. If you can swing this, DO IT! Not only is it a great lake, you're in some great company.
  7. It really is this simple.
  8. Warranty or Replacement Program? Two different animals there. If any rod hasn't broken in 10 or so decent fish, there's nothing wrong with the rod.
  9. Ha! I shared this in the smallie section. Nice video work, Jim!
  10. It is a requirement that ANY threads that reference the Ned rig (poop jig) must be at least 7 pages long! I mean, it's a really complicated technique.
  11. Also weird that on their site, they have a product link to reels. There is a Daiwa saltwater reel featured prominently in the image link. I'm pretty sure Daiwa used this image on their site and in their catalogs. Once you get to the reels product page, the header contains a close up image of a Daiwa Sol. Go even further to the shop start page and the dealers page, and yet another Daiwa spinning reel is featured. The contact us page has a cute picture of a little kid that caught a stick on a cheap Daiwa spincast. The site hasn't changed since 2015, and I complained about it then. Looks like it was designed by college intern, and the use of others' products in their images and images themselves is reprehensible. It also possible violates copyright. So, what am I to expect in terms of professionalism with this much care put into their site?
  12. Where's the Shimano vs. Daiwa battle? Great post!

  14. Exactly! Good point to bring up.

    Happy Birthday!
  16. Those cones are up to prevent "turnarounders," since I am the first driveway on a dead end street. I've even had people run over the cones, right in front of me. Here's how the day progressed:
  17. My experience has been that circle hooks suck. You'll get 20 others that will say otherwise. I really don't know many bass anglers that use them. They're a waste of time, if you ask me. I thought the same as you, and tried them in my classes. Most of the students were having issues hooking up. I thought it would be easier for them, but that wasn't the case. The hooks do not "hook themselves," and driving the hook point with steady pressure is difficult for a new angler. Often they are excited, and set the by instinct. The Wide Gap Finesse hook works much better in that circumstance. GO ahead and try the circles. Be prepared for tears.
  18. Check out his other videos. This is just the most recent. Jim is an avid fisherman, and shares these as a sort of "scene report" to help local guys out. Basically, this video shows them starting to school up on ledges. Pretty cool stuff.
  19. Woke up Sunday morning to have my coffee on the porch. This is what I saw.
  20. Generally, the best place is where the manu puts them. I know a guy that put his in the front livewell of his tracker 170, and it's not fun to get up on plane.
  21. I like oil, grease attracts too much dust and gunk. You can easily rinse that away with a few drops of oil.
  22. Last time I sent my three blade prop out for a similar repair, around $140. An Aluminum prop would have been toast if it hit the same obstruction.
