  1. Footage.
  2. I put them in a speed bag.
  3. I don't know about the OP, but it's because I don't want the bait to move. I start at 1/2 an ounce, and go up from there. Also, I see people complaining about smaller hooks not working, and I don't think that's it either. This was caught on a #6. Why a #6? Because it fit the bait I was using. BTW, I caught my PB smallmouth that day.
  4. Wow, thanks for the input. Yeah, mileage is amazing when you keep it around 45-50. Plenty fast enough to hop around from spot to spot. I do like the GIANT front deck on my 21XDC.
  5. Interesting. I think by the time braid had caught on, we had added a year round season for bass. All my crappie gear has done since is collect dust.
  6. I don't see much point in it. Always just used 4# XL for panfish rigs.
  7. I hate those hooks. Not worth the effort. The Gammy recommended above, or an Owner Mosquito hook are much better when tied in the traditional drop shot rig.
  8. Exactly. This is weird. I don't really know what's going on here.
  9. Hmmm. Can you disconnect all the 3-bank charger wires, and take a reading? I wonder if that's where it got screwed up.

  11. Do you have a pic of the battery wiring? If you have a 24v system, then you should have three batteries: two deep cycle, and one cranking.
  12. Scraped off @S Hovanec's FB page. Not a lot of work getting done, lol. Those little black blotches are sun spots.
  13. A quick google search for "bass fishing clubs philadelphia" turned up several links to club site around Philly and NJ.
  14. Roadwarrior would say Twinkies.
  15. 1" thick bologna, cooked on the grill.
  16. Get one from Aurora. Always cover your boat. Protect the gel coat from the sun.
  17. Did you think I was gonna let "westy worming" slide? I don't know why, but I can't stop laughing at that. Clearly, there's something wrong with me.
  18. I was thinking more of a weedless hook, like a slider or shaky head. Anyway, this is what I actually love about real finesse fishing - so many options, and so many names to call it. I basically have a dozen or so jig styles, each suited for different things like cover or action, that I throw on light line and spinning tackle. What's funny, I often simply go back to my favorite: the drop shot. I have to break out of this pattern. It's fine when I have located fish, but it sucks for covering water. I'll stop teasing you guys (not if you over complicate it!) and give it a spin this week. Poop jigs.
  19. Can I add "stand up jig," "jig worm," and "slider rig" to further the confusion? Does anyone make a weedless mushroom head? Another one: I remember fishing grubs on a ball-head for smallmouth. Sometimes the ribbon tail would get torn off. Was I "Midwest Finessing?"
  20. I guess you 'd need a chair to rest in after you carried all that. I've never needed that much tackle to fish from shore.
  21. The photos in the posts are working now. Thanks for your patience.
  22. 20# is a little thick for learning. 15# is probably a good all around size.
