Accomodations you;ve made to deal with thumb CMC osteoarthritis?
I can't comment on fishing stuff, but around ten years ago I changed my seating position, posture, and grip when playing to drums to accommodate and mitigate arthritic pain. It's mostly trial and error. A bonus is the new doors that open up when playing differently than you'd played for 40+ years. I can only imagine it could be the same for fishing. Man, if I could pitch left handed…

If you don't fish tournaments, why not?
I already learned I'm better than the rest. No need anymore. 😂

How many "Average Joe" bass anglers do you think are out there who could dominate the pros?
I don't think comprehension is hard. Inference and nuance are lost arts though. Get off my lawn!

Multi Gear Ratio Reel?
Nissan was the first to bring a CVT to market and was a failure. So is every one released after. EV tech makes them obsolete before they can be perfected. You're suggesting this would be cool tech for reels. I'm saying it's respectfully a terrible idea.

Your Snell Knot of Choice
It's worth noting that snell knots were originally for hooks that had no eye to tie to. Hooks were hand made and at the end, they were just hammered flat, creating a tang that would hold a snell. There's no point now that we are out of the 19th century.

Yeah, see Nissen CVT for results, lol.

Your Snell Knot of Choice
I used to snell hooks, but at some point stopped. Made no difference. The only hooks I'd consider snelling would be ones with the eye angled in. I only see these in my trout tackle.

They did it 30 years ago and it wasn't heavy. No one cared.- Multi Gear Ratio Reel?
The one I worked on was far less than 12 oz.- Glide question
I recommend getting into some beginner videos that focus on the workshop tools. Building jigs, sleds, fences, and other tooling was was really eye opening for me.- Glide question
The table should have a channel or at least some holes to screw in a fence. Mine is just made from scraps and a pricey strip of maple to sit in the channel. However you make the tooling, the concept is the same. I'd also be questioning the clamping on the glue job. Wood glue shouldn't be so thick that it causes bit chatter.- Glide question
Drill press, fence and clamps. This is simple stuff. Get some books and watch some videos.- Meat grinder....
I have my old bolt on hand grinder. Works great for rustic smash burgers.- Out of my budget.
I'll send you my Venmo.- Road To The Superbowl 2025
I had the same feeling.- Out of my budget.
I'll do standard glass coverage for that.- Out of my budget.
I'm rubber and you're glue. What ever you say bounces off me and sticks to you!- Multi Gear Ratio Reel?
I have worked on those old Shimano two speeds. Complete PITA.- Out of my budget.
Been through two. Two more to go. - Multi Gear Ratio Reel?
