  1. For a bit, I just screwed the TD into a strip of wood that I clamped to the transom. I just taped the wire to the board. Ugly, but functional.
  2. http://www.nybass.com/showthread.php?52528-Making-a-fish-finder-portable http://www.chasintailtv.com/articles/diy-angler/199-make-your-fishfinder-portable Turtle beat to that one, lol.
  3. I sold it a few years ago, but I modeled it after pictures I found on the web. I'll try to dig one up. A bunch of guys on NYBASS did the same thing, since all they fish are rowboat only lakes.
  4. Almost all the tournaments I've done well there involve me leaving the lake to fish the river. It's a gamble, since green fish on the frog will outweigh brown fish, but those green fish can be tough.
  5. I have no issues getting good SI imaging paddling at 3.5 mph. That is cruising speed with very minimal paddling effort. Each hull, and paddler will have different results.
  6. Get a small flat top, molded plastic cooler. Attach the RAM balls for the FF and the TD to it. Put the battery inside, running the cable out the cool. You can drill a hole for that, or just gouge out a channel to the cord. I used this kind of setup for rental boats all the time - worked great. Last tip - heavy rubber tape on the bottom for grip helps, if you need it.
  7. They have a limited ability to see red as "red", but they can and do see the contrast of say red paint on a white lure.
  8. I've won a couple with just three fish, lol. Those days were under horrible conditions, though, and many boats came in empty handed or just gave up altogether.
  9. I can put your mind to ease here. I run a Commander 140 in a 6' bed with the gate down. Just strap the bow, and the side handle, and you'll be fine. Super easy to load and unload.
  10. I might start at a G. That's a nice setup, if it's all in order and in good condition. Just be aware of the weight, and make sure you can load and unload. I hadn't really considered that many years ago when I got my first purpose built fishing kayak. At 85 lbs., it was right at the threshold of my ability to lift up to the rack on my car.
  11. Looks like Oneida. You definitely need to take a reset when that place turns on you.
  12. I guess I've been doing it wrong all these years.
  13. LOL, they're usually sterile, hence the size. No time or energy wasted looking to reproduce.
  14. I just let other people tie for me, lol. I don't actually use many flies. I go to the event more for the social aspect. Since I switched to centrepins for trout (the darside!), I pretty much gave up on the fly. I sometimes use a fly on my drift rigs, though. I also like to mess with the sunnies with the little 3 wt. For places to find materials, Field & Stream in Henrietta has a nice selection of stuff, too. There used to be that Orvis shop in Panorama, but I don't know if he's still in business.
  15. It's during winter (February?), and usually up at the beach house in Charlotte. I didn't go last year.
  16. Made it easy for you guys: http://www.paycheckbaits.com/contact-us.html
  17. You might look up on alibaba.com, but you'd probably have to order a large quantity from the supplier. Lots of weird things up there!
  18. Already happened. Most of this is social media hysteria, and hoax. There aren't really clowns out there waiting to get you.
  19. I have SC rods ranging from ML to XH for bass fishing. Baits, technique, and cover will dictate what you use.
  20. Aurora Canvas makes the best custom covers in the biz.
  21. No, I was thinking something with a tall profile, blue gill pattern. Something like a Mattlures U2. The Ganteral mentioned above would work well too.
