What do you wear under waders?
You win the internet for the next five minutes!

Possible new forum?
They can post videos anywhere appropriate, as long as they aren't promoting themselves, their channel, or another product other than for a newsworthy review. You can easily derive their channel from that content. That, or just ask them directly in a PM. Otherwise, I do not see this happening.

Fish Age
Reverse in NY, a 5 lb. bass might be 10 years old. The size of their eyes, mouth, and head, condition, length. Its just a guess, and it's relative. "This bass looked old." Not, "This bass is 12 years old."

Spro BBZ1 Rat Lure color?
Same reason "watermelon" is the most useful color. I don't think I've ever thrown that color, lol.

Top Water : Clear Water Equals Faster Retrieve ?
This is where the whole "ambush areas" should come into the discussion. Might be out of scope for the questions, though. Something that is probably more important than whether there's chop or the water clarity, in bright sun.

I'd try braid, but I'd have to re-spool once temps dropped. Braid and sub freezing temps don't go together.

Tool Box
Good adds. I'll add jumper cables. Not that I know anything about jumping the cranker with weak deep cycles, lol.

1. If you are referring to the pay to fish DSG, it's flies only. 2. 200# braid? Are you nuts? Most use 8-12 lb. mono or copoly. 3. I'm not familiar with that rod. I suggest you stop at All Season's or Fat Nancy's while your up there, to get properly rigged up. 4. There are plenty of other spots, with good access - even boat ramps - that you can fish that are public access. I would NEVER pay to fish the DSG.

What line/knot should I use?
A Uni knot is a useful knot, and it's strong: http://www.animatedknots.com/duncan/index.php?Categ=fishing&LogoImage=LogoGrog.png&Website=www.animatedknots.com#ScrollPoint A Palomar is another: http://www.animatedknots.com/palomar/index.php?Categ=fishing&LogoImage=LogoGrog.png&Website=www.animatedknots.com#ScrollPoint

A Blast From The Past-----~~~<*))}}}}>><{{
In '94, I was grossing around $5.25 an hour. I think I took home around $180 a week. The difference was around three hours work for me. Glad to hear people think of things that way; in terms of effort. Something I impress upon young people all the time.

Would boat buckles work in this situation ?
No, the winch post hits the gate. Ask me how I know...

Pedal drive kayaks
Peddling pricey pedal propulsion proves perplexing!

1436 for Casting Deck
With all the posts and threads about this, I get the feeling these kids are gonna try anyway.

Pedal drive kayaks
Never saw that before. Pretty cool.

Club Electronics
Front of the boat, or at the console. I have a 5 SI and it's fine up close, but of I was standing and looking at a bow mounted install, I'd want the 7. DI is less useful in shallow than SI, and I'd always want the SI anyway.

Too light to mount?
That's cool - same mineral used in the guides on high end rods: SiC!

What do you wear under waders?
I would avoid lunges.....

Metanium XT
That's a bit on the high side of a fair price. If it's well maintained and cherry condition, get it. Those reels are bullet proof.
-
Metanium XT
Depends on which version, how old, what condition, etc....

What type of bowmount Trolling Motor do you use? Electric, Cable, Changing?
Both mine are cable steer. I prefer cable steer when dealing with tight quarters by docks, over hanging trees, or other obstacles. In open water, holding over structure, I am very envious of my buddies iPilot system.

Also increases your turn radius if you're one to drop the gate in order to back down the ramp to retrieve. Count me as part of that camp, especially on a narrower trailer that disappears from both side mirrors.

Top Water : Clear Water Equals Faster Retrieve ?
I always wonder about this. Is it the chop, or is it stacking of warm, oxygenated water on the leeward shore, which tends to stimulate bait-fish activity. It's probably a bit of both.
