  1. The stock Fuego is a reel that really responds to a cleanup and a few minor tuning tweaks.
  2. It's way more fun to test the auto inflate feature.
  3. I'm wary of any magnesium based reel that was used in salt.
  4. Pretty much every guy I know that's got a great marriage going, is on #2.
  5. The boats are supplied by MLF and their sponsors. And if Mike drove a Chevy, he'd be on time.
  6. I'd be looking to get hooked up with one of the Watershed ressies. You'll need a permit. I think the DEP issues them.
  7. Off the coast island? Yes, there's a ton of water just north and west of the city.
  8. Yep, $25 for that hard full that doesn't work! Lol.
  9. I think you misunderstood. It's one or the other. Can't have both.
  10. As much as I love tournament fishing, what the Elites do bears little influence on my fishing. It's interesting though, and I suppose I find myself relating to the same challenges they face on the water.
  11. Truth is my boys are my epic success, so far at least. I left my ex when my oldest was a baby, he stayed with me. A few years later, we tried again, and I let her come back. After a decade, and another son I had enough. The boys both stay with me, though my oldest has been spending a lot of time with his mother, which is good thing too. It's easier now that he's nearly an adult. Both boys have turned out great, and the oldest is shaping up to be the man I never could be - far better than I am or ever was.
  12. Oh please, spare me the "I'm innocent" bit. You commented after I posted, and I'm the only one that posted about "upgrading" to that point, so the comment was clearly directed at me. I didn't say anything about your marriage not did I poke fun at your failures. I merely poked fun at myself. If this a your epic success, then congrats. It didn't work out that way.
  13. Do I actually have to go through and read all this or do I van everyone, lol. They're fishing poles. Don't slam other guys' gear and don't get all offended when someone doesn't like your favorite pole.
  14. Take away your double sided requirement, and there's a plethora of boxes that fit your criteria.
  15. I hate those cam lock straps. I much prefer the simpler slip lock design, though they do wear out.
  16. I'll take a picture when I can. One strap through port side of the boat, through the tie down on the driver side. The bow pusshed into the front corner of the passenger side of the bed.
  17. Straps go through the scupper holes or the handle. My bed has 4 tie off loops built in.
  18. You don't need an extender for a 12' kayak. I once drove 8 hours to NYC for a seminar with two 14' kayaks in the bed isof my pickup. It was quite the sight heading for Upper Manhattan on Broadway, lol. I have a 12' boat right now, and I pop it on the bed diagonally. I secure one side to the back of the boat. It's not going anywhere.
  19. No, silly! I always do the ordering for my date!
  20. If you were ever on Irondequoit Bay, you'd get the joke.
  21. Yep. They work for me and are easy to get.
  22. Here's my toothpick rigging.
  23. Top left, click articals, and look for the beginner section. There's a few days worth of info there.
  24. Two biggest complaints I hear about swimbaits: tear easily and have no action. The two are typically mutually exclusive. Take your pick, can't have both!
