  1. Five baits max, no more than 15 hook points, or one treble per bait.
  2. I bet that lake is deep and clear....
  3. You want the Tour Digital 82. Whether it's the long shaft or short shaft is up to the waters you fish. I go for a long shaft, but I'm on big water and waves a lot.
  4. Turn it upside down, and it'll freeze.Just watch out for the dorsal spines.
  5. It's that very confusion that led NY to the 15 hook point rule.
  6. A lot easier to see issues with a tin boat.
  7. I bet you can use the existing holes if you stick with MG.
  8. That's one often overlooked advantages to drop shotting. If you do this a lot, look into the wiggle rig. I think you'll like what you see.
  9. Keep the tray. It's designed to keep the claws intact.
  10. I use 10-12 lb. P-Line CXX for both.

    Boga.
  12. I don't throw lizards too much, outside of prespawn and spawn. Zoom with a good smearing of Megastrike, and perhaps a chartreuse tail dip works for me.
  13. That mid day bite is tough, but it's usually a good one. Bass are crepuscular feeders, meaning they are active at dawn and dusk. They aren't so much on the prowl often at midday, but the big ones are often settled into predictable locations, and will not pass on an opportunistic bite. If you have a lake with docks, especially docks close to strong weedlines and deeper water, then there will be fish under them on a sunny day. Same goes for flats with thick weed beds. Target holes in the weeds, or punching through the canopy, and you'll find success.
  14. Fishing from shore presents it's unique set of problems. I know when I'm on shore, I think about things like how to get a hookset in, and how to get the fish in once hooked up. You don't have the luxury of moving a fish out to deeper, open water.
  15. That kind of cash, I'd be looking at aluminums. A lot more bang for the buck....Xpress, Alumiweld, Crestliner, G3 are all good brands.
  16. Sometimes you have to horse a big fish away from cover, like dock pilings. Loosening the drag = lost fish. Maybe you're okay with that, I'm not. Quality, heavier gauge hooks are the answer .
  17. Yumbrella rigs work for me. The snaps are a bit fussy, but they hold, and that's what's important.
  18. That'll wreck any reel.
  19. It's the seller's discretion as to whom he sells to. It's a Flea Market, not a real estate transaction. We maintain a good sellers list pinned in the FM board. You can refer to that if you are interested in a seller's reputation.
  20. If he's blowing gears out on a Revo, he's doing something incredibly wrong. In the dozens and dozens of Revos I've serviced, not one has worn out gears. Worn kick plates, ruptured IAR sleeves, worn pawl and worm gears, roasted clutch parts, yes. Gears, no.
  21. Do a quick check of the crank side cover screws, and make sure they're fairly snug tight. There two on the outside, and one behind the spool. You'll have to loosen the knurled thumscrew on the crank side completely, and rotate the palm side plate up. It'll pop off, and the spool will slide out. You'll immediately see the last screw behind that. If those are loose, that can affect the clutch mechanism, since those three (and one other inside the reel) hold the whole thing together.
  22. I see more 20 year old Curado Bs in average fisherman's and actual pro's boats more than I see Abu round reels. It's OK that you like them. I like them too. Nothing more fun than taking an old 2500c and turning into a screamer. They're unique, and cool in the way a Morgan sports car is with it's wooden frame.
  23. There is no reason your winch or the SX should get ruined with proper maintenance.
