Garage Organization For Tackle, Need Ideas
Mine is in my living room. I re-purposed an oak armoire for my tackle storage. There's a few drawers for spools of line and tools, and two stacks of 3700 trays fit perfectly in it.

Reel Grease And Oil
Shimano Bantam oil is probably the best all around oil. I use Cal's Purple Light grease on gears.

Culling Techniques
LOL, that's so true! I was fishing a tx, and had like 17 lbs. in the well. One of the other guys has two 13" fish on a beam, one shakes off, and fall into the drink. Lots of cussing ensued. We laughed, and yelled over, "having a bad day?" I think we've all had similar days.

Drop Shot Setup
1000 series reels don't have as many drag washers as the 2500. It'll work, especially if you are in the braid with a leader camp. For straight fluoro, a 2500 or 3000 diameter spool helps with line management, and the tighter drag window.

Ping!!!
I do just the opposite. Some of my best fish, including my PB smallmouth was caught fishing "in the cone." There is an audible click to some 'ducers. I will sometimes turn mine off when approaching fish in shallow water. Personally, since it's a rhythmic pattern, I don't think bass recognize it. It's sort of like the trolling motor. If you are pulsing it, and randomly on and off it, then you will spook fish. If you come in nice and easy at a constant speed, they don't care.

Must be a default setting in the forum software. You can probably just clear your cache, and do some more.

Inexpensive Polarized Glasses
I stupidly took mine off while running, and put them in my shirt pocket. I thought I snapped the flap, but I guess not. I leaned over, and "BLOOP!," into the drink....

What To Believe?
This point is HUGE. "Winter" to some in the south might be a fleeting window of opportunity in fall to some in the north.

Attwood Rod Holder Extension Compatibility Issues
That's the main reason I use RAM and Yakattack accessories - they interchange and fit seamlessly.

Here's One You Don't See Every Day...
The ad says you can specify your hardware. Aren't those Fuji K Alconites, though? Maybe I'm mistaken.

What Jigs Do You Use In The Spring?
In spring, I like to have a bit of red in the skirt and trailer. Catch a crayfish, and you'll see why.

Confidence
You can spend your off season accumulating information, but nothing builds confidence like success on the water.

Rod Or Reel?
I guess I glossed over that, and it does sound contradictory worded that way. What I mean, it's more about the type of power, further down from the tip. A medium power rod, where the load of a fish on is spread out across the entire blank will protect the trebles better than a MH. The XF tip just makes it easier to control the twitch. The rod "settles down" quicker on a faster taper.
