  1. Goodness! Those are some big fish! I see the camo was in full effect, even then.
  2. Probably time to buy a new one. I can't see the pic either, but what happened?
  3. I'd rig them with a pegged, heavy, bullet, and pitch into heavy vegetation.
  4. I'll give a x3. He already doesn't want to take it apart, and spraying degreasing agents on it will dictate a total break down and cleaning of the reel.
  5. Use an Alberto knot, and forget about worrying. http://www.stripersonline.com/a/albertos-knot
  6. Time of year, and location would dictate things. Could be anything in my box.
  7. I wouldn't be caught dead with a loomis rod in my hand, Maico!
  8. I'll give you an attaboy. I'd like to see a 5-9 to 5-11 top water specific rod. Pistol grip isn't 100% necessary, but a butt that length would be fine. I used to have a 6, pistol grip Bionic Blade that the top couple of inches snapped off. New tip too, and a great spook rod was born.
  9. Just find a rod a that feels good, and balances well with your reel. Walking baits can be fatiguing to your wrists, so balance is important. I use an Avid AVC62MXF that I bought used for around $80.
  10. I think I mentioned it before, shrink wrap is the most durable. The two o-rings takes the same time as one. You just go under, over, under with the hook point. Two seconds. real fast if your under a time crunch, like in a tournament. Shrink wrap is an off the water affair. If I have time, I'll pre rig a bunch for a day on the water with my kids.
  11. Watched MLF on the DVR tonight, and there were three or four segments where the pros got to tell how they caught their fish. They all basically promoted the gear they used, but to a man, they went deeper, and clearly used that time to teach how to use that gear. None of what they said was brand dependent. I think given the opportunity, most truly want to help others gain success. After all, that's what keeps the industry afloat.
  12. Not really. You can contact Delaware Valley Tackle, via the link to the right. They offer a discount to BR members.
  13. Two O-ring, in an x does the trick.
  14. Sounds lore like dirty gears. Not sure how gears would end up dry.
  15. Docks skipping, jerkbaits, ripbaits, topwaters.
  16. Not sure what legak action you could take, but I bet Megabass has a legit beef.
  17. Just get some JJ'S Magic. No mask required.
  18. Since you're not legal, he's not legal, you're going to have a hard time getting any help for this. I'd return that key ASAP. No reason to leave any door open to "new" suspicions.
  19. The simple solution is to get a boat cover for a couple hundred bucks.
  20. More likely the same Chinese sources that Luck-e-Strike gets the blanks for the STX. http://www.unpaintedlures.com/
  21. Let me get this straight. They're supposed to be genuine Megabass baits, that he hand paints, and resells for 40% less than retail? Sumthin' ain't right here.
  22. Set the drag to about 5# of resistance, and your gear should be fine. You might have to go in and get some of those frog fish in the mats in lieu of ripping them out, but it'll work.
