  1. All in the links of my post.
  2. Here's a good thread from way back at the beginning of BR. Make sure you click on and read the links.
  3. How are you making that glass and ash tray stay on that table like that?
  4. If you like it, there's one here at a tackle shop in Baltimore that is brand new.

  6. Almost always, it's your finger not centered in the spool. Try not just making sure they're centered but, move them a little further down the rod away from the reel.
  7. Not a binding statement but, certainly a convincing argument.

  9. I wish I could find the E-Motion somewhere local to see. I really would like to hold one in person.
  10. I bid TWO grilled cheese sandwhiches for the SMOKE. What model is it by the way? I'll bump it to three if it will make for a quick sale.
  11. A bit of advice on the mighty PB & J, spread the peanut butter on BOTH slices of the bread. You're welcome.
  12. Captain's License required on all navigable waters of the US and the Great Lakes. The whole shabang is quite the undertaking. Most guides don't do it for the money, they do it because they love doing it.
  13. They've expanded and it is not nearly so crowded. They opened an upstairs area.
  14. When I make it down south, I always try to stop at Ocean's East. I know that's a little south of you.
  15. If you have the time during the week (weekend parking is tough), do yourself a favor. Drive into Baltimore City and visit Tochterman's. They just celebrated their 100 anniversary. They are the oldest operation tackle shop in the US. Man, what a fantastic place. There isn't a type of fishing they don't cover and are the nicest people you could ask for which to deal. Their blood worms are so good, people have to call and make reservations. Have you ever been to Tochterman's in Baltimore? They just celebrated their 100 anniversary. They are the oldest operation tackle shop in the US. Man, what a fantastic place. There isn't a type of fishing they don't cover and are the nicest people you could ask for which to deal. Their blood worms are so good, people have to call and make reservations. Not exactly in your area but, not a terrible drive either.
  16. Some people...
  17. Just glad to see Bill online.
  18. I hope Bill's okay. He hasn't been logged on for almost two weeks.
  19. The kick lever has a ton of play in it for the thumb bar lever to "swim" around in. It seems as if it is allowing the kick lever to move away from the drive gear. Too old.
  20. I never use a test plug. It doesn't act aerodynamically like the real thing. LOL My wife will ask, "is there a real hook no that?" I always say, "of course there is." I can make a few pitches down the hall until that cat catches wind of what I am doing, then I stop.
  21. Thanks Mike, your clue made me look closer at that part. I am pretty sure it's not supposed to look like it looks.
  22. So far, this has been a tough little reel but, two days of striper fishing in the Chesapeake Bay can cause some problems. Into the second day, I noticed the a slip in the crank right at the beginning. A friend and I opened it up and nothing seemed broken. We thought maybe it was just dirty and needed a good cleaning. I did just that and it is now no better. When I put it back together, nothing changed. I thought maybe I had the disc that looks like a saw blade in backward so, I flipped it. No change. Basically, the first turn of the handle is NOT re-engaging the reel. If I flip the thumb bar manually, the reel works with no problem. What should I be looking for? (besides another reel...LOL)
  23. My fishing partner has been after me to learn for years. He is accomplished and ready and willing to teach me. I don't need another revenue stream going "out"
  24. As a USCG licensed Captain, I am hyper sensitive to other boats on the water around me. Knowing you have clients lives in your hands will make you that way. The more I am on the water, the more respect for what "could" happen. Always be ready to make an evasive maneuver but, as others have said, never put yourself in the position to have to.
