  1. Anything from Prince's 1999 and Purple Rain albums. (yeah, albums)
  2. :gun3: :gun3: :gun3:
  3. I used it when it first came out. I didn't think it was still around. If I remember correctly, it got it's start as a line for kites.

    Get an actual bike.
  5. As as few others have said in the past, for a jig rod/reel, spend most of the money on the rod.
  6. I have been a diehard Shimanoite for years. I did pick up a PQ recently. I have to say, I really like it. (so far)
  7. I have two that I switched the bushings for bearings. One of my favorite all time reels. I'll never sell them.
  8. The Andy Griffith Show has always been a favorite. Via Netflix, I have seen all 249 episodes.
  9. I use 12# Yozuri Hybrid for the grass of the Potomac River. Largemouth and big snakehead. (being rebranded as Potomac Pike for marketing purposes) Never a brake off, always in the boat.
  10. I am one of those people on the east coast. Close to 2 million without power. I went from Friday night til early Monday morning laying in my own sweat. On top of that cleaning up the huge tree in my back yard. (only in the morning as it was 95-100 degrees everyday) In preparation for Sunday nights sweat bath, I enlisted the help of Capt. Morgan. I remember taking a shower. I hit to sofa downstairs where it was only in the mid nineties inside as opposed to upstairs. I woke up around 5 AM and the power was back A/C humming. There are still tens of thousands without power in the mid Atlantic. Some not expecting power until this weekend.
  11. My thought on the rod is that it is too heavy a power for the makeup of the rod to properly handle some lighter lures. Coupled with a reel that is not known for it's finer graces...the combination could be the culprit.
  12. I prefer the smell and STING of Aqua Velva. To me, it wasn't a good shave unless I feel the cool sting. Something is missing without it.
  13. You also need to pay attention during the tie. Do not let the loops twist. If you pay attention during the tie, you'll see what I mean by twist. When I've tied a proper palomar knot, it will cinch down (after wetting) very smoothly and easily while pulling on BOTH ends at the same time. When I've let the loops twist during the tie, one of the lines wants to pull tight easier than the other. (one may not want to pull tight at all)That is when I cut and try again. I've been using Yo Zuri for a number of years now. No break offs. I too use 6# and 12#.
  14. Most entertaining thread in a while.
  15. I've seen in more than a few different forums, posts about the 50 series reels not being hardy enough to be a pitching or flipping reel. Any truth opinions on that?
  16. A guy walks into a church. He hasn't been in a while and enters the confessional. Inside there is a beer tap and a humidor. He stares for a moment and says aloud, "wow, the confessional sure has changed since I was a kid." A priest yanks open the door and says, "hey, get out of my side of the booth."
  17. See the strike, waaaaiiiiiiit FEEL the weight of the fish, then set the hook.

'Over the last few years the Caps have been the best team in hockey DURING THE REGULAR SEASON and then flopped in the playoffs. We're hoping that this past seasons struggles have given them what they need to now get past the first round. We'll see.
  19. How much difference is there between a line like Yozuri Hybrid and a 100% fluourocarbon? I've seen and read all about the similar stretch but, what about sensitivity? Is 100% that much more sensitive (double or better the price more) that any of the copolymer lines?
  20. All of my Potomac River Snakeheads were caught on 12# Yozuri in hydrilla. I'm with you all the way.
