  1. IM7 Graphite with Fuji guides and on sale at Bass Pro Shops for $59.99 - $69.99 They are advertising a $20 mail in rebate for these rods. I stay away from the Gimmicky stuff Roland endorses after being suckered by the Helicopter Lure but he endorses other stuff that I swear by, like Gary Yamamoto baits. I guess what you have to look out for really is the stuff that ONLY Roland endorses? GYBC (and a few others) sells itself.
  2. Tru-Tungstun and Penetrator. I have purhcased the BPS and kept breaking Yo Zuri Hybrid. It was the weight. It wasn't a perfect cylinder. It was flattened out inside (insert) and outside. It was not really sliding well and kept chewing up my line.
  3. Will this mean he will change his avatar to sunshine, lolipops, rainbows...

One more to go. I have an uncle that finished a Command Seargent Major. It is amazing how much power and authority an enlisted person can have at that level.

    Careful...

My military memory is rusty. E7 or E8?
  7. I have bought and sold many Kistler rods well before they gained popularity. I have owned (and still own some) Graphite Specials. All of my Graphite Specials were made in Texas. I owned some back when the blanks were IM6 and burgundy and were called California Specials. (and didn't have the no fore grip style) I currently have kept a Buzz and Pop and a Crankbait Special. None of the high ends. I was a fan when Trey was making a name for himself. When manufacturing went to China (another thread altogether) he lost me. Oddly enough, almost all of my current rods are Castaways. (oddly meaning for all who know the Kistler story)
  8. What kind of face is it? I don't see anything wrong with it.
  9. I have been fishing since I could walk. I have always loved the sport. I began fishing in small tournaments in and around my home town five years ago. I love the competition and would like to start fishing for a living. How can I get started?
  10. Expect a can of whoop @$$ to be opened on poor writing, spelling and grammar skills.....and rightly so.
  11. Thats a joke I have a techna av and the shimano crucial blows it out of the water now where on the imx level. Chaddy, a bit of advise, I know you're young but, try just stating your opinion without calling someone else's post a joke.
  12. On #13 add, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens.
  13. I have an older Avenger (lower end when the first came out about $20) my son uses it. Solid reel no problems. A lot of tackle shops use them now as a "house reel." I've heard to stay clear of the baitcasters. No first hand experience though. I've been told that the V Series are top notch. From what I understand Okuma is one of those companies that used to make reels for everyone else then, took the plunge into the market for themselves.
  14. I like where this thread went. Kudos to all posters.
  15. I have an older Castaway Spinnerbait Special #3. Full reel seat. Love the rod. But, I'm fishing reaction baits. Only difference I feel when I pick up another rod with an exposed seat is that it feels a little larger in my hand. It goes away though. I don't mind mine at all.
  16. Now that's cushioning the blow. :

  19. Thats what happens when you sit on a wet boat seat>>>AKA JUCIY A** : During the "hiatus" where did you exercise your creative humor muscles? It had to have been killing you not to be posting like this. I know the site missed it. ;D
  20. Yea I love the way it works, A killer has a right to live and a Fetus doesn't, works out perfect don't it : Yep we know exactly what were doing Believe me, I'm with you but, these the comparisons you bring are apples and oranges. One the state of justice in this country, one the state of liberal moral beliefs of this country. :-[
  21. Nah... Try to figure it out. Mike's not asking for a Harvard degree... Just a basic high school education. It seems to me that trying to communicate requires a certain degree of form. 8-) High school? Grammar school, where we learn to at least capitalize "I" and the beginning of a sentence and end it with a period.
  22. Your sarcasm detector is obviously broken. You, having been here so long and knowing your post style, is one of the one I did understand as sarcasm. If you are able to re-read the pages and pages on the history of this topic, you will see what was meant.
