  1. Muddy knows one when he sees one ;D
  2. Kent, in all of the thread on this topic, none have ever been fun. Sad yes, fun no. Good Night.......
  3. NICE! What a list. I think if we can capitalize "I" and proper names and the beginning of sentences and spell even common words correctly and use some punctuation, we can claim some victory. I PS If you can go back into the history of some of the threads on this topic, you'll see the battle I'm refering to.
  4. Mike, I have joined you in this battle before and will again but, as you can see from the first couple of posts that the ignorant will be ignorant. To answer Dave S., it's laziness. To confirm RW's comment, I skip over posts that are sometimes un-readable. I noticed in the resume board, there is a lot of defense of spelling and grammar. But, let it happen on other boards and defense of the ignorant and lazy (and mocking) ensue. Go figure.
  5. The police still cannot take justice into their own hands. That is what makes the US the US. (Please no diatribes about the state of crime here. If you want to live where the police dish out the justice, you know where the door is.) Here in MD a month or so back, a guy ran over with his car and killed a Prince Georges County police officer. He was caught dead to rights and apprehended. He was found dead in his holding cell two or so days later. The media coverage of the killing of the murderer far out weighed the death and funeral of the officer. It was a shame but, that is how it went. Now, the officer is dead and buried. His family, friends and fellow officers still grieve. The killing of the murderer in jail and the violation of his civil rights and his mourning family, blah, blah, blah, are still in the news. The justice system (even with its flaws) must be allowed to work.
  6. Twice as big as the fish in his Avatar.
  7. I guess you have to hope that the predator doesn't hurt you too bad before you can get that knife in them. And God forbid there is more than one. Hold on Mr. Hungry predator, don't eat me while I change the cartridge in my ice knife.
  8. Some Gander Mountains carry Castaway Rods. Take a look at a Spinnerbait Special #3. 6'2" MH-M $100

Best way to find something you have lost is to buy a new one.
  10. That's not from a fish. :
  11. Dodge Guy.....wait for it, wait for it.....
  12. I don't shorten. I spread 'em. Hook set, hook set, hook set.
  13. Put braid knots into the search box at the top right of the screen.
  14. Unless my math and theory are off, that's almost 1/2 of his blood was alcohol.
  15. I do not use trailer hooks. MH moderate action for me.
  16. I caught a 4# fish on a Senko once that took me three tries. Tap. Set. Nothing. Tap. Set. Nothing. (now getting frustrated) Cast again. Watch line. Line twitches. Set hook. Catch fish. By the time I felt the tap, she had already blown it out.
  17. 20lbs. of water, not 20 gallons. But I agree on the formula.
  18. Good question. Wondered that myself.
  19. I have been told by people in the industry, that the pros aren't using "off the shelf." Never buy just because your favorite fisherman uses it. His (rod or reel) is not the same that you will be buying.
  20. Looks like a nice color coordination with the new Curado E
  21. Let me be the first. Welcome back.
  22. Could be spooled backwards as well.
  23. I thought the MAGIC LURE title looked familiar.
  24. You can tie a palomar on a spinnerbait or buzzbait, without the lure. Let me try to explain. Be sure to use a fair amount of line. Do not try to save line by trying to tie it will a small amount of line out. 1. Tie your over hand knot but, leave it very loose. 2. Reach through the single loop with your thumb and forefinger. 3. Grab the double loop. 4. Pull the double loop through the single loop. 5. It is important at this point to spread your fingers to open the double loop. (this move flips the position of the single loop and is important) 6. Drop the blades of either bait through the double loop. 7. Lube with spit and snug tight. It is easier to show than explain. I learned this from Bobby Murray years ago at a seminar. Amazingly easy and fast.
  25. I have now heard from Ben Cardin, my other US Senator. He is a co-sponsor of the bill.
