I watched some video tapes of some fishing shows from a few weeks ago. During an episode of Linder's Angling Edge. In the commercial (I believe was for Versus maybe) has a father in a boat. The son who is about 11 or 12 years old, is driving the truck and trailer out of the water. I was pretty surprised that they would make and air something so irresponsible. : > 1. against the law 2. dangerous 3. terrible example 4. against the law
  4. I don't believe that the Revo S has external centrifugal brake adjustment. Micro?
  5. Agreed troll. Two posts just baiting.
  6. And sometimes you see a full or senior member with hundreds of posts with a name you don't recognize.
  7. His down fall was 99% Don King. That was the beginning of everything else that happened.
  8. When I was a kid I had a recurring dream that Peter Pan was chasing me. I have often had dreams that involve punches that have no effect. Last night I had a dream that the jig rod I bought last December was where I keep it but, broken. My wife and none of my 4 kids knew what had happened.
  9. TV. No cable. No roof antenna. Antenna on top of TV. I know, stone age. Besides the fishing shows, I really can't say that I mind all that much.
  10. I've been geting it for the last couple of months. Trying now to pinpint what foods. So far, almost all of them. :'(
  11. For those old enough to remember the Doritos commercial with Jay Leno, "keep crunching, they'll make more."
  12. Let me be the first to offer pre-condolences to your family.
  13. My favorite line is, "nice web Mr. Crack Spider."
  14. Here we go... The End.
  15. Congratulations. Member myself, circa 1980ish.
  16. Just like the story LBH told about the stereo amplifier. If I'm asked, I'll say what I was using. I once slipped and fell and broke a rod in half. I explained exactly what happened to the owner of the rod company. He sold me a rod for half the price of new. The owner was Trey Kistler. I had used braid for a long time as well. Been using Yozuri Hybrid for awhile now. Thinking about a rod or two going back to braid.
  17. Tie to the clip, cast and retrieve. The blade is on top. You will have no doubt about the action when you retrieve it. You will feel it all the way to your elbows. Just get one or two and try them. I know guys that now use them as their primary search baits. Some people like them, some don't.
  18. Most rod specs do not spec out to fish with 50# and 65# braid. I know about backing off of the drag. The warranty issue concerns me. I'm guessing that rod companies will always say, "sorry the rod wasn't designed to handle braid." So, NO WARRANTY! Is it just a chance we take?
  19. I too am 6' 230# I have an daughter that will be 18 next month. I had always planned the "I have the physical power to kill you" routine. My daughter has dated 3 guys. All great guys. The key is in not just how you raise her but, how you treat her. (and especially her mother) When you give an good example of how a man should treat a woman, they usually will know which guys are the "right" guys. Her current just turned 18, skipped a grade, earned perfect SAT's and tested into college as a sophomor. And more importantly is a great kid and a perfect gentleman. We didn't just luck out, we raised a girl with a good head on her shoulders.
  20. I miss avid. :'( This thread isn't the same without him. Come on "ex member" let us know your watching.
  21. Crimeny! What in the heck did I miss? ? Must have been good! For the record I too do not want to see longmike in the helmet. Now, in a dress ...wait don't hit pos
  22. Where did you buy it that they were selling a warranty?
  23. A tool just like any other lure. They certainly will catch fish. Not a "substitute" for any bait. Just another tool in the tool box.
