Winter morning fishing?
Go early one morning & find out. My experience with northern waters is that the fish become more active as the water warms from sunlight . A cloudy day will find you undecided unless you try early & not so early to determine which is best. Remember sunlight warms shallow water much quicker than deep water so each body of water will be different based on size & depth.

Need Job Advice.
Yes take the job. Your chance at the other job may not happen right away. The upgraded position at your current employer shows you're working hard & considered for more responsibility. That will look good on your work record. If the other job does come up be honest with your current employer for your reasons for leaving to pursue your dream & give adequate notice. You have to look out for yourself first then others.

Rattlin’ Rogue
Rogue & Rapala HJ's are very good for a larger bait. If your looking for a smaller profile the Ima flit is a winner.

Favorite species (outside of bass)
I have lots of favorites outside of bass. Pike, lake trout, steelhead, walleye, muskie & big perch are just some of my favorites.

Craig Sager
I was sad to see the the passing of Craig Sager after a two year battle with leukemia. The longtime TNT sports reporter was known for his colorful suits and genuine reporting. I will always remember his sprinting down the third base line chasing Hank Aaron after he broke Babe Ruth's record. RIP Craig.

It's expensive line but it's the best I have tried. I use it for most treble hook applications.

Which st Croix??
My regular jerkbait rod is a St Croix legend extreme blank custom. Its a MHM rated up to 1 oz baits. I use it with 10lb braid & mono leader. The new legend elite is also rated up to 1 oz baits. I like to use mostly 5/8 to 1 oz jerk baits so I really need a MH rod. I do use a lot of 3/4 oz & 1 oz baits because they work well for me.

St. Croix LE vs. LXtreme and Avid (upgrades 2017)
The Avid was upgraded with the introduction of the Avid X as an alternative. I don't think anything new will happen there.

College Football
Great game. Michigan played very well. Go bucks!

How would you set this swimbait reel up?
If you want to use braid stick with 65lb or 80lb & skip the leader. If you feel the need to use a leader just stick with straight 20 to 25lb mono or fluoro, no braid.

How long have you been bass fishing?

Why did Bogo Grips fall out of favor?
They are the most popular spring scale made for IGFA certification of records. You have to send it to IGFA for certification which is good for a year. They make a 15lb, 30lb & 60lb. Each scale is bigger in size as you move up in weight.
