I would recommend either a Gan Craft jointed claw 178 (2 oz)or the smaller version Gan Craft jointed claw kai 148 (1.5 oz). They are over your budget in the $60 range but they do perform in the glide bait category. For swim baits I would use Hudd 68 specials with the hook on top. The weedless version does not hook up as well as the exposed hook style. You could also go with a generic version 6" or 7" plastic swim bait. Use 20lb mono or flouro for the glide baits & swim baits. Take some magnum size crank baits & square bills as part of your crank bait stash. Also take a few larger jerk baits like pointer 128 or smithwick rogue or smithwick perfect 10.

If you go back & read his original post he said the braid got caught around a guide in mid cast & the bait broke off.

My first boat was a 18' Lund with a 150 4-stroke Yamaha & a T8 kicker. 96" wide & very stabile. You could stand on the gunnel and it maintains level. My current boat is a Starcraft 20' 2" and has a 100" beam. Powered by a 250 Pro XS with a 9.9 Pro kicker. It is a heavy boat at 1734lbs, boat only. Top speed is 60 mph with two guys & gear. Also very stable in the water. Both boats are rivet construction. Lund, Starcraft, Crestliner & Alumacraft are the most popular brands around the great lakes. The debate about welded hulls versus riveted still goes on but the the riveted hulls are still most popular.

The 2016 Antares DC is JDM only so there is no US warranty, only Japan warranty.

I would suggest you go with the vision 110 for both numbers & quality. If you are fishing deeper water go with the 110+. it dives about 3-5 feet deeper than the regular 110 if used on light braid with a leader.
