  1. Muskies are special especially your first one. Congrats.
  2. One of my favorites besides those already mentioned is Them Ol' Brown Fish by none other than Billy Westmorland.
  3. I tie a palomar knot to a snap only. Gives both jerk baits & crank baits better action.
  4. Owner Flashy Swim 5/0 1/4 works well with the Big EZ if it is not too weedy.
  5. Very respectable fish for your waters. PB's are always sweet.
  6. The Brecknell is also the scale of choice for the MLF series.
  7. On Erie a very average day would be 15 lbs post spawn.
  8. Great way to get famous. WTG Mitch.
  9. I just got back from lake Bacarrac in Mexico. We had temps over 100 up to 104 every day for six days straight. We were on the water around 6am each morning and fished to 11:30 to noon. Back on the water at 2:30 to 3:00 pm and fished until 8:00 pm give or take. We started drinking water before we hit the boats until we hit the beds. Probably about 10-14 bottles per day. We did have a breeze in the afternoons which helped immensively. I personally do not like the heat but the big fish possibility kept me going. Our best bite was in the the AM. Water surface temps were in the low 90's. Surprisingly we held up well.
  10. Congrats on your first smallies.
  11. I'm watching with interest.
  12. . She might if her name was Stella
  13. Thanks Kent. Pics to follow.
  14. Looks like your son is very happy. Congrats on a great outing.
  15. Good luck down there buddy.
  16. That is my last acquisition. Made for braid with a faster gear ratio. It has a sealed line roller and rotor shaft. It is saltwater compatible. I use mine as a dedicated blade bait/jigging spoon combo.
  17. I would pm you the info but John G already took care of it. Enjoy your new reel.
  18. Yes your little brother is a stud. Great fish.
  19. I don't think the Stella is worth the money when you compare it to a Daiwa Certate. Currently JDM Stella is $499 for a 14 Stella 2500. The Certate is $265 for a Daiwa 13 2500. I only own shimano bait casters for the record but I have five certates. I have fished with a friends stella I can't tell the difference between them & a certate. Just my opinion. If you really want a stella go for it.
  20. I think you answered your own question. Braid on a spinning reel with the leader of your choice makes life a lot more easy.
  21. . The Cavs have got less calls in their favor than GS . The NBA came out today and admitted they missed three out of four calls in favor of GS instead of the Cavs in game three . If they called those calls correctly there would have been no overtime.
  22. Delly is the MVP so far excluding LBJ
