  1. Real hometown article. Lots of history and sounds like a great place to eat.
  2. Jerk baits and crank baits worked mostly fast.
  3. Lake Ontario & its tributaries.
  4. Great read Jeff I almost felt like I was there with you. The fish art looks outstanding. Can't wait to see the video buddy.
  5. Real good discussion about it here. http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=63559
  6. I have only used the Defier Armilo and it does float. I have used it for all my mono needs. It is a small dia. line made to break nearer the stated line test. It is supple enough to cast well but without line issue. It has moderate stretch. I used it down in Mexico without any line problems. Abrasion & knot strength is good.
  7. I'm not a fly fisherman but with that rod I could be. Looks great Scott & Steve.
  8. This. This. And since FL waters are relatively shallow & predominately weedy they just flat out work.
  9. Congrats on the new PB.
  10. That looks like a $100 bass. Congratulations on the new PB.
  11. Very nice bass, especially the one over five.
  12. Steve you are going to have a lot of pressure on you to catch something legendary on that legendary rod.
  13. I have been using the Sunline Deifer Armilo in 13,17, 20 & 24 & really like it based on your recommendation. Thanks Tom.
  14. Sounds like El Salto mimicked Baccarac. Sounds like you had a great time & good food. Did the guy fishing by himself share any of the pics? I tried calling you back after you left the voice mail but couldn't get through on your cell. Don't forget to post up those photos.
  15. The ones caught in northern Canada are actually better than walleye.
  16. I love catching pike when they are mid teen and bigger. Smaller pike not so much.
  17. The blade bait is an awesome summer time bait as well. When smallies start going deep after spawn the work very well to cover 20-50 fow. I fish them vertically mostly using 10lb braid tied to a small spro swivel. I then attach about 2-3 feet of mono for abrasion resistance. You can also cast them or drift with them. The better baits have split rings attaching the hooks to the bait body. On baits like the silver buddy I add split rings so I can change out hooks as needed. This is a blade bait smallie from last October.
  18. If your looking for a search bait I would recommend trying a crank bait. Look for a PM.
  19. Jugs are the easiest to master.
  20. I have caught 4 channel cats from 10-17 lbs on jerk baits. Always catches me by surprise.
