The mercury pro xs line has better gas mileage figures than mercury's own 4 stroke engines. It also meets & exceeds California current EPA pollution specs, the only 2 stroke to do so. Chose a 4 stroke for quietness, oil changes rather than oil mixing etc but don't blindly think they are better gas economy. Hole shot is generally accepted as better with the pro xs if that matter to you. Just some food for thought.

I think any of them under $400 are a good buy. I would not pay full retail. Either wait for a 20% off sale or JDM model.

I have 4 different certates that I have purchased new. They all were all priced between $200 & $350. They are a good buy in that price range. I call them a poor man's Stella.

A lot of the stocked trout have clipped fins.

Runs 8-12 deep nose down. They are good baits. The Dobyn's model 90 ss V3 is a slow sink unlike the other two which suspend. They make a saltwater version called a 120 longer in length & three hooks instead of two like the 90 size. If you bed fish they are supposed to be very effective because of the nose down action.
