Personally I never like Jeeps.

I tow with my 9.9 kicker in the down position which has plenty of clearance. My 250 is tilted with a transom saver & has about the same clearance as the kicker.

Billy's father was involved with the construction of Dale Hollow d**n and intimately new the landmarks that were flooded before it happened. Billy's credentials for big smallies put him at the top as the most prolithic smallmouth fisherman that ever lived. He was there at the heyday of the Dale Hollow fisherie.

I spooled up two reels with 15lb seguar smackdown braid & have not had any digin issues with it at all. The line just lays flat like mono.
