  1. Evidently the review process sold the reviewer. Don't forget to check the brakes before you spool it up. Set them & forget them.
  2. If Bassn Blvd relieves his tension he won't be as funny anymore. He needs to keep his edge.
  3. Pretty sweet Aug fish. Keep them coming.
  4. Tell that to the guy they found hiding in the porta potty tank.
  5. Here is from the PA fish & game Question I would like to know if stocked fish reproduce in a stream? Answer Nearly all the species stocked from state hatcheries are capable of spawning in the wild. The exceptions are hybrids such as tiger muskellunge, hybrid striped bass, and saugeye. In the case of trout, if some make it through the summer and find suitable habitat, natural reproduction might occur. Whether or not those young trout make it through the first year of life depends largely on the habitat, particularly summer water temperatures. Many of the streams we manage with stocking of trout are at their very best seasonal trout habitat. They lose flow and experience elevated temperatures during much of the summer and trout don't do well there. We do not stock hatchery trout to spawn and provide any contribution to the wild trout community. This would be too expensive. We place them out there for anglers to have a chance to fish for them and to catch them. In several places we stock fingerling trout on a put-grow-and-take basis. In those cases the habitat is suitable for year-round survival, but spawning and nursery habitat may be missing. So we add the stocked trout.
  6. Most of the stoked trout do not reproduce. That is why they have annual stockings.
  7. Got love those bonus fish. Nice bass too.
  8. Great story and a great girlfriend.
  9. The trout stamp money also goes toward stocking steelhead & brown trout into lake erie. Those fish are not shocked, disoriented little fish. They are quite manly once they grow up. I'm not a trouter but steelhead & brownies out in the lake are a great resource for all anglers. That is the best part of the fish stamp program for me.
  10. Same regs up here in erie on lake erie. You have to have a trout stamp to fish .
  11. It doesn't get much better than that. Great pic.
  12. Great review A-jay. I'll bet tackle warehouse will want to put you on staff. You definitely helped sell the new D. Were there any shortcomings you noticed? Did the use of plastic seem cheap? Do you think the casting distance was improved over your regular reels?
  13. Mr Franco wins the prize. Good eye John.
  14. Fished with this guy from bass resource a couple of years back. Now he has a beard, is a new father & caught a recent pb on a swimbait. Guess who.
  15. I purchased a new escape series 3 piece travel rod from loomis, not an inexpensive rod. Checked it out when I got it and everything looked good. First time I took it on a trip 11 months later I found out the reel seat twisted between the front & rear cork grips. Had to pay freight to send it back to loomis & a $20.00 fee for handling. The online retailer said to send it back to loomis not them. They sent me back a new replacement. But it cost me $40 some buck for a blatant manufactured defect. Weak quality control. I have 9 loomis rods & 15 st croix's. Never had a manufactures defect in st croix. But stuff does happen. I'm not bad mouthing loomis but sometimes quality control is greatly lacking. I should have mounted a reel on the original new rod & checked it closer. Call st croix & explain your problem. They do offer a reduced price on shipping back to them by printing out the shipping label on your printer which cost 10.00 bucks.
  16. hbird did you ever think that this kind old man might be in the right & you are wrong? Try treating him with respect & ask his permission to set out a trot line. He might surprise you if don't confront him. If his property rights extend to the center of the pond you are in the wrong not him.
  17. Congrats on tying the knot. I lost my wedding band when canoeing/swimming with the wife. I never replaced it as I didn't fell it was a big deal. We are still married going on 43 years.
  18. I can tell you they love spinner baits. Just ask any of the florida guys.
  19. Good one. Never trust a deer that isn't afraid of you.
  20. Tom it could be a line class world record rather than all tackle record.
  21. Yea the poor guy lost the state record, world record & the mustad contest prize.
  22. Man loses world record on alabama rig. http://www.grindtv.c...rize gets away/
  23. Most of the time they will jump & try to shake it out. Some fish will rub it out on the bottom. I have had smallies once hooked head straight down & even temporarily snag me up trying to rub that bait out of their mouth.
