I care so much about what fish weigh i dont even own a scale. I have a balance beam for tournament days and thats it. Ive seen big fish hit scales and come up three pounds. Size means nothing.

Do yourself a favor and go look at the price of a new motor. Think about shelling that out of your bank account when it doesnt run how you want it. Do you know what a brand new even 60hp motor goes for these days? $7k! Now think about wanting a new 150 or 200 on the back. Outboards generally are built really well and will give a long long service life if taken care of.

If you have the money I say swing for the fence. You just never really know what someone did to an outboard.

That camera above is a little slow on the recovery time and options but at that price, heck just let it on video. Black flash means there is no visible light. The LED array is covered in black and theres a certain type of LED used that can penetrate it. An animal or human, cant detect when the LED array lights up. Cams that arent black flash when they trigger have visible light. In video mode its like a glowing signal of here I am. Black flash keeps game from spooking from flash and keeps thieves from spotting the cam as easy but other steps must be taken like using different mounts as the strap on a cam is a dead give away. That horizontal line in a vertical world stands out like a sore thumb. I ran my black flashes in my house for a month and no one ever knew they had their pic taken and I had it set to fire as fast as it could to test a set of high end rechargeable batteries. No sound, No light, hidden mounts and cautious entries make for game that doesnt know youre around. Most people are cam happy and cant let them sit. A cam really doesnt get its best pics for at least a month so you need to have battery life that can let it out that length or longer and let the camera do work. Going in and out to check cams is just like hunting, pressure is pressure whether its a cam or sitting in a stand.

I love when a tournament launches out of a small marina and theres guys standing on shore bs'n while guys are still waiting to put boats in with them tying up every side of the dock. Have some manners and get in your boat and get off the dock for ten mins. Not everyone has a coangler to dump the boat in.

Id make it even simpler Attendance to meetings -1 Fishing a tournament -2 Fishing a regional - 5 Participating in Conservation Work -3 (note this is higher than fishing a tournament on purpose) Having a guest speaker to teach -5 Finishing top 15 regional-7 Finishing top 10 regional-10 Finishing top 5 regional-12 Finishing 1st regional-50 Lunker in regional tournament -5 because this qualifies you for state (getting into one good fish shouldnt automatically bump you to top dog, anyone can luck into a big fish) If I had three boats to go, the top 3 would be the "captain" and the remaining three spots would involve a fish off between everyone left. This gives the guy who struggled all season a chance to come back and win it all, a made for tv moment.

I interviewed for a software position with Geisinger Hospital building their software. Two hour drive one way, they ran me through 8 interviews and were supposed to compensate me for travel, thats was agreed before I ever entertained the interview as they came to find ME. Never got the job, never got my money and at the time money was very tight due to a new baby. Didnt bother to fight over it and hindsight being 20/20 im glad that job didnt happen. They never even called me after all that to tell me they chose someone else, heck I didnt even get an email, all communication just stopped. I went from interviewing with development the whole way up the chain as far as you could get local and not one word. Heck they had me writing code with MARKERS, not even a computer. I was beginning to wonder if they were just seeing if they could wear me down. Like I said, they stopped communication, not me.

Id run an aluminium if it had enough motor to fish a pro event. My aluminium, forget it, not enough juice. A 17' id want at least a 60 to even attempt it and a 19' at least a 115.

I doubt it, you could always wrap it in cloth tape to avoid shine. I can only imagine some of the things deer have seen me do in a stand, prob thinkn... look at that idiot.

Id prefer to not put lotion on my hands constantly. There has to be a solution. My hands arent dry by nature, I can go weeks without putting stuff on them. Grab a cork rod, land a few fish, go crazy.
