They're available. I worked for a few different pizza joints a couple decades ago, and even managed one for a while. One of them had a 29" pizza, and it was cooked a pizza pan just like the 12" ones...except bigger, of course.

It's kind of disappointing, really. I figured with all of the abandoned cars from folks that flying up to heaven, I'd be able to pick up some new rims for the wife's car. I guess I'll have to pay for them now.

Nope. Mojo is built in Mexico and the Premier is built here in the US.

I've owned and sold a 700X and currently own a Hibdon 800SX. Did you need to know anything besides country of origin? ETA: I'm surprised RW hasn't posted about the US Reel spinning combo he bought several years ago.

For me it's the Senko. I have a ton of the stupid things, but the only thing I can catch with them is water. I'm sure there's something simple that I'm missing, but I don't really care enough to bother with them anymore. I'll just stick to other lures that actually work for me.

Your rod plays a critical role in casting distance. What's your complete setup, rod/reel/line?

That's pretty much the standard retrieve rate for underspin and spincast reels in that size. My little BPS underspin (rebadged Pflueger 4410UX) has the same retrieve rate, and it works fine for tiny jigs, Bitsy Minnows, Beetle Spins, and worm/bobber fishing.

I like a 7:1 for spinnerbaits, lipless cranks, jigs, most soft plastics, and most shallow cranks, but I'd choose a different ratio for deep cranks.

That's one of my favorites. The action is incredible. Hulfmann Frogs can also be pretty good producers sometimes.

I routinely toss weightless Trick Worms with 2/0 offset or 3/0 EWG hooks (either way, it weighs about 1/4 oz) with my Supercaster 800SX. If I need to toss anything lighter than that, I'll switch to spinning gear. FWIW, I've also tossed 1/8 oz shaky heads with it, but by the time you add up the weight of the jighead and the weight of the worm you're actually in the 1/4-3/8 oz range which should be a fairly easy load for any modern baitcaster. The same can be said for weightless Senkos and flukes.

I spool them just like my baitcasters, but I soak everything with KVD line conditioner while spooling. No problems so far, but I've only been doing it this way for the past few years.

I use mine for all of my reels - spinning, baitcast, and fly No problems at all...with the exception of the little rubber feet on the bottom. Stupid things kept falling out so I hit them with a bit of Super Glue.

Source? The Premier and the Mojo are built with the exact same components and compete in the same market. The Triumph uses cheaper guides, but the same reel seats. From a manufacturing perspective it makes absolutely no sense at all to create an entirely different blank using the same SCII graphite when you could just slap some reddish-purple paint on an existing blank and call it something new. If the blank was actually different/special, I'm quite sure St. Croix would stress that in their literature. Based on my personal experiences with the three SCII rods, and what I've read and heard from professional builders, they're all built on the same blanks.

This ^^^ The Mojo isn't necessarily a bad rod, but it's noticeably tip-heavy when compared to many other rods, and it's also less sensitive than some of the other rods in its price range, like the BPS Carbonlite. I'm a St. Croix fan but the Mojo is (for lack of a better term) a polished turd. If you're dead-set on a ~$100 St. Croix rod, the person who suggested the Triumph is right on the money. The Mojo and Triumph are all built on the same blank, in the same factory, and will have the same level of sensitivity, but the Triumph is a good bit cheaper. It doesn't have the flashy looks of the Mojo, but the fish can't tell whether your rod has a split grip or not. Spool your reel with a quality braided line to increase the sensitivity of the outfit and you should be fine. Before someone gets their panties in a bunch over the "polished turd" comment, let me say that I've owned Avids, Premiers, a Mojo, and a Triumph over the past few years and the only ones that remain are a 6'8" M/XF Avid and 6'6" M/F Triumph spinning rods. The rest have been used, evaluated, and sold. I have tried them, and I remain unimpressed. In my opinion, the Mojo has nothing to offer over the Premier and Triumph other than a split grip and purple paint. So, if we take appearance out of the equation, we have three rods built on the same blank with very, very similar performance, but a wide price spread. Other than blind patriotism in the case of the Premier, why would anyone pay $30-$140 more for a rod of the same performance level from the same manufacturer?

x2 Also, some of the Abu stuff is interchangeable with some of the newer Pflueger stuff. I'm running an aluminum Revo knob and bearings on my Supreme XT spinning reel.

If they consistantly grew that large I'd never fish for bass.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I can see where Grey Wolf is coming from. If you don't want comments from others, why not handle this lure swap via PMs? By posting this in an open forum, you have to expect that others will follow what's going on and comment when they feel they have something to say. Just my $.02

Sometimes that'll happen with the double uni knot if it isn't lubricated well enough before tightening. The braid will cut into the leader, weakening the knot.

I hit most of the local retailers on a regular basis and stock up when I get a good deal. The most I've ever paid was $10 for a spool of 30# Sufix Performance Braid. This kind of stuff goes on sale all the time around here. I've bought a bunch of Power Pro over the past couple years for $4 or $5 a spool.

A weightless trick worm and 2/0 offset round bend hook weighs right at 1/4 oz. Your reel should be capable of casting that a decent distance. Maybe it's due for a bearing flush and relube? I know it's not a popular choice, but I have a Hibdon Supercaster 800SX spooled with 30# PowerPro on my 7' MF Carbonlite, and it'll cast a weightless trick worm an impressive distance with very little effort.
