  2. You should have thrown a spinnerbait......... :'(
  3. Typical woman......Just don't tell them I said that !
  4. Just release them and let them eat all the young bass...A good pickeral is a dead one,as far as I'm concerned....Good luck catching pickeral. :'(
  5. been getting a lot of pickerel, some times even more than bass in the metrowest fisheries .....
  6. You need to go quite a bit further north,I've only fished the river in lincoln.
  7. Looks like just you and me fish Maine..."let's keep it that way..." ;D
  8. We fish 5 different lakes 3 of them only have smallies and the other 2 have both.If I say where the lakes are in Maine,I'll be tied to a tree and the blackflies and mosquitoes would eat me alive.I have been going up there for 12 years and my buddy has been going over 20.It's nice to be able to fish all week at different lakes and not see another boat, except for a local now and again fishing for the infamous white perch.
  9. Good going guys,Not only did you catch some nice fish but that scenery in the backround is beautiful........... ;D
  10. Welcome.Just let everyone know where the rock piles and cribs are at, before you send them fishing...lower units are expensive........
  11. Looks to me ,like you guys are in the fillet and release club....
  12. Just got back yesterday afternoon from my annual trip to Maine.Weather was unsettled as usual, from cold mournings to heavy rain and wind an even had a hail storm, the sun managed to come out every once in awhile. Two boats 4 guys total for the week was 1,083 fish.I ended up with 431 fish.My biggest largie was 4#10 0z ,and smallie was 4#7 0z.Lots of 3-4# fish.Biggest fish of the trip was caught by my friend steve a largie weighing 6# 8 0z ,that's one hell of a fish for as far north as we fish. Here's a few pics from the trip...... P.S. The best part about going up north is that I didn't see another boat all week...
  13. While fishing with a friend of mine 5 or so years ago in Rhode Island,he caught a bass around 4# on a spinnerbait ,and when he went to remove the hook there was a tail hanging out of the it's mouth. He pulled on the tail thinking it was a lure and out came a small squirrel........I wouldn't beleive it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.....
  14. I HAVE FISHED JIGS IN THE CHARLES AND HAVE CAUGHT PLENTY OF BASS ON THEM.THE JIG I USE THE MOST THERE IS A HOMEMADE (1/8 TO 1/4 OZ)BROWN/ GREEN PUMPKIN.BUT IF YOU WANT TO CATCH LOTS OF FISH ,THE NUMBER ONE BAIT IS A RAPALA DT 4,OR ANY SHALLOW DIVING CRANK IN DARKER COLORS.GOOD LUCK..........................
  15. I agree John,lol....I must have missed the episode where Tin, w-dog and the other "big dogs" went to the Classic. : I'm not Joel's biggest fan, for my own personal reasons but I won't knock him as an angler. Getting to the classic takes more than luck and good sponsors. But as for the spawn,....you guys need better glasses! I'm in the same boat with bassectomy. High sun and here they come. Has to be a sunny morning too. Nothing pairing up yet but at least 1/2 to 3/4 of the fish we are seeing are being caught. They are spooking but come right back,....sit tight and be a bit more patient. I've been using a matt lures bluegill to bring them BACK to the bed, then I pull it and drop a trick stick,...been working like a charm. I'm usually not a big spawn fisherman, Tin will be giving me a hard time I'm sure, but this year they are a little more challenging to figure out so I've been really into it and sure enough, I'll swear by bassectomy's words on this one. I bet B-hole is finding the same at his place in Johnston too. His fish were in the same stages as ours, last time we spoke. It's a PERFECT year to employ the spark plug trick but we haven't stooped that low yet : ;D Me and Tin aren't the big dogs, the big dogs are the guys fishing the tour...
  16. Throw an X-Rap and save $10.00.Buy a good air brush and with some practice, you can have any color you like....
  17. Smelly Jelly "bass feast"....Hands down.!
  18. I've never been skunked ..... : :
  19. Also,tell her the rooster rules the roost,if she doesn't like it...see ya !!
  20. Is it me or do jet ski's love to ride around bass boat's when were fishing?Don't get me wrong, I don't mind if they use the same lake I fish .But for god's sake stay out in the middle, not cruising the banks at 60 MPH..............I've sent more than one cast there way, they usually get the idea..
  21. Congratulations guys, that's one hell of a day, around these parts. I've fished both those ponds and the fishing is awesome, when you hit it right and you guys hit the nail on the head.Good going.........
