  4. i agree. :-/ Which pic are you guys lookin at? Yo guys no offense taken but, this fish was well over 5 . I have caught and scaled many, many fish 5+ pounds. I am 6'2" and my knuckles are about 4 1/2 inches across and the fish is not stretched towards the camera. The second photo with my brother is a 16" fish. I don't BS people or have any need to exaggerate weights. My brother did check his scale and it read different with the same 5 lb weight anywhere from 1.8- 3.9 so the scale was not right. Maybe not a 7 but well over 5. HMMMM? Maybe me and my brother who have collectively fished in over 250 tourneys and have seen thousands of fish weighed would misjudge a fish by three pounds. Next time I will make sure to take my boat, my scale, and my tape so I am sure I don't claim a 3 pounder to be more than a 3 pounder. Nice fish, but not well over 5 lbs.Fish looks like a solid 4lber.

With the weather we have here in New England It's nice to be able to do both.Fishing is great, but all year long.Nice to change it up and fill the freezer with some meat.

  10. Here in mass we dont have to tag our decoys, but my initials were on it.I never told him it was marked. If he had said he thought someone had lost it and was just picking it up thinking it was trash, that's understandable. He straight out lied about taking it,and telling him about what would happen to his tires sure made him give it up.I would never slash the tires on someone's vehicle, especially over a decoy.I still agree that "IF IT DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU,LEAVE IT ALONE! P.S. See you out in the marsh ,I'll be the guy with the afro...
  11. November in Maine, air temp was in the low 30's...The smallies didn't mind the snow.
  12. Went to the Cape this mourning and fished a favorite pond of mine.I found a nice school of smallies off shore and marked the spot with my trusty duck decoy slash" marker bouy ". I moved on and was going to come back in a bit and fish it some more.As I was fishing down the bank I see another bass boat make his way towards the decoy,I figured he was going to fish the hump I marked. He wasn't looking to fish,he proceeded to grab the decoy and wrap it and put it in his boat and went over across the lake.I motored over to the bank he was fishing, up ahead of him and fished in his direction. When he got close to my boat "He asked,How you guy's doing? .I said terrible, why he replied .I said I hate it when somebody steals something that doesn't belong to them.He had no clue what I was talking about, and said good luck,I'm going to fish the other side of the lake. That's when I asked him for my decoy back, what decoy .I said the duck decoy you pulled out of the water that belongs to me.He said I didn't take your decoy and started up his motor,That's when I told him that It's gonna be hard for you to leave with 4 flat tires when you get back to the ramp.He tried to apologies and gave me my decoy back. Not only was this guy a thief but a liar.Moral of the story" If it doesn't belong to you, leave it alone.".....
  13. Nice snake............... : :,Hope you released him so he can eat all the bass in the pond you fish.....
  14. Very true...........
  15. Looks like Sago pond weed.....
  16. Always a good idea to buy a decent digital scale. It's amazing how someone will guess 4 to 5 lbs and when you weigh it ,it only goes 3.Nice fish ,but I'd guess 3.5 lbs at best.I also like where your fishing what a beautiful background.... : :
  17. I have, nice lake.Best time to head up is a week after ice out. That goes for most lakes in Maine. This time of year fishing is decent, just alot more pressure.Havent been there in a few years.

  22. Spinnerbaits can catch bass in any condition.Yes, lots of guys throw them and the fish see the same colors and retreives day in and day out.I build my own spinnerbaits and use 2 different sizes a 3/8 0z and a 1/2 0z .The colors I use aren't on the rack at bass pro,and also experiment with bigger blade sizes. I use a Colorado or Indiana blade. Also vary the retreive and trying different cadences.Caught lots of fish this year in Maine and here back home ,using a 1/2 0z green pumpkin/brown skirt w' #5 walleye hologram Indiana blade (blood red/gold).I think if you show the fish something they've never seen before ,there going to bite. The spinnerbait is a fish catching machine ,learn to change it up and catch more fish. A FEW THAT FELL FOR IT..
  23. Tin, The one good thing you guys have,in regards to me fishing in R.I. is that I'm controling the pickeral population.
