  1. i like the cumaras as much s ANY rod out there! so there's my vote, my favorite t-rig set up is my 6'8 cumara with a fuego riding on it
  2. been playing with a new tech for them and its produced some hawgs at night...u head, all i'll say for now
  3. i have awesome success fishing them like i would a swimming jig
  4. 1) Daiwa-between my fuegos, hsta's, and tierras, they get top nod! 2) shimano-my curados are my 4x4's 3) quantums-i really like the accurists, energies, and codes that i own 4) abu-have 2 revos, they are good, but not great, strong drag makes them great for flipping and frogging
  5. got 4 and love em! ive got big hands, they fit nice!
  6. the spot remover will keep the bait more vertical than a shakey, and most lizards i have tried wont stand/float vertical, i love 4inch liz's on shakeys, but i stick to finesse and floaters on the SR's
  7. i use 10lb trilene xl on my shakey rig, and have no problems, big game has too much memory to use in finesse applications IMO
  8. im with you on the TD 152hsta's ! I just bought my thirs one, i love em. Better than the revo premiere IMO. Between the tierra's, 153's, and fuegos, i am turning into a daiwa guy!
  9. Just thought i would start a post for members to reccomend reels that may not recieve the attention that they deserve. I'll go first- Team Daiwa Tierra-strong low profile reel that is incredibly smooth, functions comparably to a reel in a much higher price range. The blue/purple coloring is also really sweet! I have one on a 6'8 powell max series and it is an absolutely awesome setup!
  10. the solene and Platnum plus are crap, the vision is a very good reel, and the inertia is a very good reel for the $$
  11. IMO i think the Cumara does stack up. I love the Cumaras, i had always used a 7'MH imx for med jigs and t-rigs, but recently got a couple of cumaras and have passed the imx on to my fishing partner.
  12. 1) 3/0 oz t-rigged berkley power worm in red/shad 2) *** 5 inch watermelon candy 3) sr5 shad rap in tennessee shad 4) 3/8 oz blakemore roadrunner solid chartruese, in clear lakes i can always limit out on spots with this thing, learned that while crappie fishing. 5) 3/16 oz shakey head with pumkin chartruese zoom 6 inch floater
  13. agreed 100% with RW! i have success as well with them pegged on a t-rig to flip heavy cover b/c of the thick body and fall rate.
  14. agreed on the powells, they are awesome! Sensitivity is equal to my Loomis's, and i like the guides and teh grips better!
  15. Love em, have to of the 6'8 MH's with Fuegos on em and they are my sexy babies!
  16. for 130 i would buy every one that they have! I have 2 683 max's and I love them, more than my kistlers or my GL3's, promise me you'll but atleast one!
  17. shimano clarus 6'6 m action 60$ or 6'6 m action carrot stix, my favorite for this application! 140$
  18. kistler 6'6 magnesium all purpose mh f or st croix avid 6'6 mh mf or powell max 6'8 mh f all under 200 bones, all great rods! or you could even go carrot! for 140ish
  19. Any one have experience with the kistler graphite rods? I have couple of magnesium Kistler AP's and love em, and i was playing with a few graphite kistlers in the store, and one caught my attention more so than others, the 6'8 heavy worm and jig rod, felt like it had good balance and some backbone, i love throwing big worms and want a rig dedicated to that so i was thinking of picking up the rod, hell it was only 130$.
  20. Karu Lures extreme bluegill swim jig
  21. Im in the market for a few new reaals for my heavy jig/t-rigging, i have 2 fuegos and love em, but am considering an energy PT(especially with rebate) or a zillion, any thoughts?
  22. The coosa and tallapoosa river chains of Alabama have Hawg spots! Especially Lake Jordan and Lake Martin! I was using a 4'0 gammy EWG ****, tossing it around deep piers (8-12 feet) on 14lb suffix elite mono, all strikes came on the 2nd or 3rd fall of the bait, not the bottom.
  23. Had a 17lb limit of spots today from Lake Jordan, anchored by a 5.3 and a 4.4, both came on a watermelon black IKA, the biggest on the 2nd cast of the day.
  24. dont know about left handed? it was 120$ ive seen em on ebay for 75$, but if im going 120 range im going revo s or daiwa advantage or tierra, citicas are great at even less!
