Anyone notice
couple pleasant surprises: garcia silver max, bought for pondfishing, but like the spool flow and strong drag so much it is now on my TD flipping stick. quantum torsion rod 7'mh, bought for river cat fishing, is now my go to topwater rod because it is firm Im7 with a soft tip, paired with another surrpise pinnace inertia 9BB baitcaster. otherwise im all shimano (way too many curados and citicas, and a pair of daiwa fuegos and hsta 153's)

Anyone using an Abu garcia Silver Max?
I have a silver max that i use to flip with because of the strong drag, ive heard alot of negatives and i have alot of high end equipment as well, but $for $ the silver max has been very solid, cast heavy well, and did well in the wind.

G-Blanks rods?
Hav e any of you guys had any experience using G-Blanks rods? I want a light weight md/hvy swim jig/tube rod, and was thinking about one of these, or possibly a customized St.Croix from reel mech, that is when he has a spare laying around... any feedback would be awesome!

flipping/pitching rod suggestions?
In that 140 price range shoot for the Daiwa LT. Awesome rods for the$$ As for the procyons, not bad rods at all! I have three that I use for multi purpose, a 7'6 tele. that i throw swim baits on. For small change they are great rods!

I have 4 quantums that i got early this year (2 codes, 2 accurist) and i love em, they perform as well as my curado's and my TD's, codes feel odd at first, but they make you love them!

Crank Baits and Timber
ODDS ARE IFYOU ARE CATCHING EM ON A TRAP YOU COULD CATCH EM ON A FLUKE WITH A WEIGHTED HOOK, OR A SPINNER BAIT ALLOWING IT TO FLUTTER DOWN AND RIPPING IT BACK UP, THOSE TWO WOULD BE LESS PRONE TO HANG UP.

Copolymer with least amount of stretch?
i like the P-Line X-tra strong copolymer, has a small diameter for co-poly and is very castable in higher lb test.
-
All Star ASR Series rods
Yeah i htink so, but the action seems alot faster to me, which i like in a heavy worm/jig rod.
-
All Star ASR Series rods
I have two of the same 7'2 MH models and love em, i use them for jigs/tubes/ikas, i have 200 curados on them and love, LOVE the set up!

Quantum Energy PT vs Abu Pro max
I have two of each, the PT's are good, but the new Pro Maxes cast better IMO but arent quite as smooth. I actually like the Quantum Codes better than the PT's
-
chatterbaits how do you fish them ?
I fish them like a swimming jig. Pick it up, let flutter, bigger bites seem to come that way. Early in the morning i fish it under the surface like a wake bait.
