In the small, shallow(3-5ft) creeks in WI I have found nothing that works like a Super Fluke in Baby Bass. Also catch a lot on 3.5" Speed Craws.

Hey, I know this is a bass forum but how are the eye's biting? I know some guys on campus here that were getting them a couple weeks ago but I havn't heard much lately. Let me know if you get out for any smallies. I'm going to try and go Wenseday. Brian, I'm going to school in Point but grew up in Platteville. Been to Baraboo several times.

Hey fullspectrum, Where you at in WI? I'm in Stevens Point. I have not been able to get out yet this year but when I do I'll probly try deeper water with some rock or steep sloping rip-rap banks with a jig or a X-Rap. If I'm on the river I might try drifting a Fluke through some deeper pools. Try different stuff and when you get bit stay with what works even if it's slow.

I go to UW- Stevens Point in central WI. It's snowing agian > I wouldn't even care if the fishing was bad I just need to get out!! I spent about an hour practicing pitching a jig in my apartment last night but even that barely helped. I also dont think my downstair neighbors appreciated the clunking of the jig hitting the tile floor either. Their calling for a warm up next week though so I got my fingers crossed.

The spring fever has me firmly in it's grip. All I do all day is think about fishing. Here in WI the weather is just starting to warm up (although we got 2" of snow agian yesterday) and I have yet to get line into water!! I'm a poor college student with no car and no money but I still spend about 90% of every doller on lures, line ect.. I have reorganized the tackle about 7000 times and with all the new crap I keep buying I think I need a new tackle box. :-/ I should be writing a report right now but instead I'm surfing bassresource and making posters to put up to try and get a Bass team started on campus. It's getting so bad I am thinking of stealing the girlfriends PURPLE LABARON to use as a fishing truck this week. I'm a sick man. Hey BFM, At least your getting out. Everything is still frozen here in WI but last year I was fishing about this time of year and getting the same results as you. Is there any rock you could fish? I was targeting wood for about two weeks with jigs with no luck when I tied on a super fluke and started casting to some rip-rap and bluffs on my way back to the truck. I caught 4 fish on the way and it felt great! I was fishing it very slow and letting it fall almost to the bottom before twitching it back up again. They usally hit it falling. Just something you could try. :-?
