  1. Although it's not a "high end" rod, I absolutly love my Cabelas Fish Eagle II rod for jerkbaits. 6'6" Med-heavy fast action. 80 bucks and it's butter
  2. I'd like to see Kriet take it by a point over KVD ;D. Field.
  3. Rip it, walk it, straight retrieve, stop and go, any of these can work. Just keep trying till you get a response.
  4. You can't beat some good old Half and Half for everyday enjoyment.
  5. Very tight setup. Now go stick something!
  6. Congrats!! If you have a tree nursery attached to that and want to hire a Forester let me know!! ;D
  7. I would just shoot it, judging by the photo. It might not group well but it won't damage your gun. :-?
  8. Sometimes you almost need to "throw" the tackle box at them. If you can find a place where your outline is broken up yet you can still see their reactions just start throwing everything you have at them and judge their reaction. Generally soft plastics. I've had the most luck with tubes, but it takes awhile just switching size and color. Sometime you eventually find one they like sometimes not. They can be very individually picky too, one will bite a certain color/size and the one cruising with her wants something totally different. That's all I got, if you figure out a magic formula for cruisers let me know ;D
  9. Two days in a row!!!
  10. Whats wrong with the Olympics? And a dog show?? Come on... ;D

Thought the racing was good, the waiting not so much. I was screaming at the t.v. that last lap. Jr. made it exciting. Hope he can have a better year.
  12. Fish wacky rigged in slower/deeper pools. If current is a bigger factor I'm more likely to fish a T-rigged fluke. If I do fish a wacky rig in swifter current I find it works well to cast straight downstream a few feet and then let the current take the bait down while keeping slight contact with the bait. When the bait hangs up I can pull up and back and generally get it to pop over whatever it's hung up on. Much less likely to get hung up then when casting upstream and drifting back to me.
  13. Quantum. Their like the Mossberg of fishing. ;D
  14. They have a very different action then anything else. They don't spiral like a tube and don't have a ton of move parts/commotion like a bigger flipping/pitching bait like a brush hog. They have a gliding motion that can really work when fish are in a less aggressive mode. I love em and use them for pitching into cover and as jig trailers. Try it you'll like it
  15. I would definitely be in if I'm around. Graduating this spring, so June is a uncertain time right now! I think the river or Buffalo would both be great but hell anywhere is fine! I'll supply PBR and Limburger! ;D
  16. I'm doing a paper on fish mortality after bass tournaments. I'm looking for papers on the subject. I need both sides of the issue and peer reviewed would be best but anything would help . I have several already, but thought I'd post here and see if anyone came up with anything I don't have. Just post the citation, I can get most journals on campus. Thanks, Joe
  17. I've fished a couple spools. The first one I was very happy with but the second was very stiff and broke with a quick jerk. Wouldn't use it again.
  18. Hoyt. If you want the best. The Carbon Matrix is a Bad@ss rig and sure to strike fear into any pig you come across. Mathews if you want everyone to think your special and a master bowhunter.
  19. Anyone ever done the club before? Were you satisfied with it?
  20. Farve. Hell hath no fury like that man in a playoff game.
  21. Good read. Thanks!
  22. I occasionally use a weight but I don't peg it.
