You can catch a catfish on anything. I live within 4-wheeler distance of a river. I've caught catfish on hotdogs, shrimp, worms, and even plastics. I've even heard of people using soap. A lot of people do well with chicken livers. I've never used "catfish bait". I like to use a pretty stout rod; one that you'd use pier fishing, or drop fishing the bottom of the ocean.

I do know that October and November are the best times to fish. However, people always catch flounder, skates, sharks, etc... I'm not 100% sure, but I think blues and spots only come certain times. I'm no expert though. We always call our hotel before we go. They'll be happy to tell you.

From what I hear the Citica is on the same level as the Revo S. Although I've never used a BPS rod, I can only see a "cheaper" rod being the issue. Not a cheap rod by any means. Just "cheaper".

You print it off Shimano's website. It just has to be bought from an authorized Shimano dealer.

Same here, but I really wanted a Citica. Definitely look into the Citica though. ***.com is having a sale. I bought mine for $99.00 with free shipping and a $30 rebate. You can also check them out on eBay, but your'e not always eligible for the rebate.

Of course. Just get what makes you happy. If you can, you should get the Curado. Go big, or go home! (As big as your wallet goes.) Most higher priced reels are worth it IMO.

I bought a Citica Sunday, it's on its way. Haven't heard anything but good things about them.

I ocean fish a lot. You can use shrimp, octopus, bloodworms, or squid for bait. You bottom fish with heavy weights just like catfishing. Although I've never surf fished, I've fished piers and also up to 32 miles out.

No sir, thats a very good deal. I wasn't putting *** down at all. Just saying I have no need for 150 or 700 worms! At most I buy 3 packs at a time, and when 2 packs cost about as much as shipping, I'm better off to buy directly from a store. If I could buy from you in a way that would benefit both me and my wallet, I promise I'd buy from you! As you yourself may have experienced, college students don't always have an abundance of money!
