Yesterday evening I got a chance to go home & fish for a few hours with my dad at Lake Fork. Don't get very many chances to fish with my dad anymore, due to our conflicting schedules & living hours apart, but it's always a blast when we do. It was a beautiful day yesterday with the temps dropping down into the mid 70s. We were fishing weed edges in about 12' of water with hollow body swimbaits, buzzbaits, & spinnerbaits. Ended up catching 6 fish in about 2hrs. We took pics of 4 but 2 didn't turn out. These two however are the 2 best that we caught. 4lbs caught on an * hollow body swimbait. My dads 4 3/4lbs, big one of the night, caught on a black buzzbait.

Even though I agree with the fact that there are too many variables to really come to the conclusion that one lure is better then the other, I still really like the idea and will be following closely. Have fun.

Carvin makes a very good bass for the money. Also if you have a music store next to you, go & try out as many of the mexican made fenders as you can. I used to work at a music store & 1 in about every 30 mexican made fenders end up being really nice. My personal opinion though is to put your hands on a lot of basses & see which one feels like "the one".

I know I have caught the same fish on the same lure. However I'm a firm believer that a bass can absolutely become "conditioned" to a lure & even a certain technique. This doesn't mean that you can't still catch the bass on the same lure, it just becomes harder.

BBC show Top Gear did a review on it & absolutely loved how it performed but said it still didn't justify the cost. What's really crazy is that at $350K, Lexus still isn't making any money off of it

I agree with all the others. I love it when it's cloudy & a little wind. I don't really know if it's that the fish stay higher in the water column on cloudy, windy days or if they are just more actively feeding in those conditions but I'll always welcome clouds & wind. But sometimes topwater just isn't what they want. If you try a topwater & they're not hitting it then try switching to a spinnerbait fishing it fast right underneath the surface or something different. Just because we think it's perfect top water conditions doesn't mean it is for the fish.
