  1. graphite is going to be more sensitive than the glass.Glass will be more forgiving
  2. i have a 24 volt 80 lb fortrex on the bow of my 14 ft jon boat and i wouldnt want any less.I fish a lot of wind and i never feel like its overkill..I would have got the 100 lb thrust if i could have done that with a 24 volt system . Get the most lbs thrust you can afford, in my oppinion, you can never have to much.
  3. if its your first time using floro, its definately different from regular mono. Also you picked the worse floro i have ever used in my oppinion.I took it off after one day.Went to 100% berkley trilene and never looked back
  4. i just ordered some but i got # 4 kvd hooks thinner wire version. to big ?
  5. 100 % trilene works gd for me.
  6. i apologize if you were insulted ,you have helped alot of people on this site and i dont want to become a bad guy.I just cant agree on this issue.Bottom line is your right,to each his own.
  7. im not crying about it ,just saying for something thats supposed to be a sport fishery, throwing five hooks at once doesnt feel very sporting or take any fishing knowledge ! but hey,you gotta do what you gotta do to make your rod bend i guess !
  8. no misconception- its the same exact thing downsized with 5 hooks
  9. if its allowed, you would have to use one to compete
  10. know how to fish it ? really ? r u kidding me ? you could take someone whos never fished before and as long as thet can cast it out, they are going to catch as many as you, or the next guy ,using one.Like ive said, they have been around for a long, long time in salt water and there is no secret to fishing them.they r considered a dummy bait there to !ALL im saying is they shouldnt be allowed in any tourneys the very least.I would like to see them completely outlawed for the simple reason i think theres going to be more fish dieing due to the fact that alot going people r just going to.fling them into boat due to the fact they wont want the other hooks getting caught on themselves.its a rig designed for a commercial fishery where multiple fish can be caught at once !The very least, u should just have one hook on the rig on the bait trailing down the middle if you just have to use one.
  11. you ever see him just cast it out and reel it in without doing something eratic to make them bite ?watch closer !lol
  12. thats why the cast and crank guys for the most part dont win or even place much !
  13. ive fished it for thirty or more years in salt water. I ll stick by saying its a dummy bait with multiple hooks that shouldnt be allowed in fresh water !
  14. x2 been using them for 35 yrs in salt water commercial fishing. They are a dummy bait in my oppinion and shouldnt be allowed in tourneys period.Might as well allow live bait in tourneys also if you can use those rigs
  15. It certainly takes the skill out of fishing. Can see why they banned it in tourneys, kind of a no brainer !
  16. i like useing them early spring and also on grassy bottom.Comes through better without collecting grass
  17. I wouldnt worry about them chipping to much if i were you.Bottom line is we paint them so they look good for us,because the bass dont care. You could put a painted jig next to a unpainted one and they are both going to get the same amount of bites in my oppinion.I dont put them in oven ,and yes, they do chip,But never do the bass stop biting them.
  18. this whole alambama rig thing is a joke. Its been around forever, known as the umbrella rig.Now someone wants to take credit for renaming something to make it sound new ? please, spare me.We were using these 40 yrs ago in salt water.
  19. wasnt impressed at all with the show.Would have been better off going to bass pros
  20. i love my rogues ! ive reluctantly have bought a handful of pointers and for some reason the rogues outfish them 3 to 1. i will say the pointers cast alot better , but thats about it.
  21. fenwicks are great rods ! i have a pile of them.Wasnt happy when they stopped making the elite tech
  22. suspending stick bait ,rattle trap, jig, square bill crankbait
  23. i dont think the law states u cant have lead on board or your tackle boxes.U could just say u have it for fishing other stater.Just have some tungsten or whatever is legal near by and cut your line if u get caught by surprise.Kill a loon in the processs !
  24. i say keep on using your lead !enoughs enough with this state.Tree huggers r taken over.
