  3. 10 lbs even, on a jig
  4. I got the lss to go with my hds 5x and i have mixed results as well. The side scan part of it is what im not all that impressed with.I will go back and forth by pieces of structure that i can visually see and not mark it on the screen.Once in a while i will see something but not as advertised. It seems to work better in ten ft of water or deeper.Maybe the 5 inch screen is to small to see much,i dont know
  5. I have an 80 lb thrust on my 14 ft jon boat and i wouldnt think of having anything less.I would have got the 100 lb thrust except i didnt want the three batts for a 36 volt system.Trust me when i say the 80 is not overkill if your fishing in wind.Get the most you can afford or you wont be happy.
  6. rogues !
  7. I just got the stradic paired with a 7 ft falcon jeff kriet sqiurrel tail rod and really like it
  8. i have some pointers and the only thing i will say is they cast better than my rogues.I get more bites on my rogues by far though.
  9. jigs, suspending jerk bait, and lipless cranks fished real slow hopping like a jig

  13. cart , thats funny, I had simuler experience with a bigger rogue w a pickeral attached. Those triple grip hooks r no fun
  14. that should be more than adequate, i have a 1448 jon boat and and have raised decks and 2 people can stand on same side and it still doesnt move much
  15. about 25 yrs ago when i was in my late teens i got a popper w treble hook stuck in a tree at the long end of the cast.To make a long story short I made the rookie mistake of pulling the boat to the lure w my rod.I wasnt looking when popper sprung loose about 30 ft away and i looked up in time to catch it right in the corner of my mouth. Most embarrassing trip to hospital ever !
  16. u might want to take a look at the fenwick elite tech crankshaft rod
