  1. put thompson water seal on my deck . Will carpet glue work with this now ?
  2. dont know if you can fix it but the same thing happened to me the first time out of the package without it banging anything.
  3. never mind -just found out its rivoted.
  4. Anyone heard of these ? See one for sale on a site. Are they rivoted or welded ?
  5. I backed out of it unfortunately.Seems like a lot of money for a 14 ft boat that would still need electric motor and electronics and all the other goodies.
  6. I fish in a little 10 ft jon boat that I have a 46 lb transom motorguide on and thats not enough when its windy.
  7. Now im concerned a little because I fish alone most of the time.I would probably have to leave the motor up on my favorite ponds because of the hp limitations. The being blown around thing is not something im going to like and looking at the boat in the show room I didnt think it would be bad but I guess I was wrong.I wonder if theres anything you could do to fix that problem ?
  8. thanks for the reply guys.I was looking at the 1448 all welded jon boat and i put a deposit on it.Seemed pretty solid and they had a sale on it for 5923.75 out the door with trailer and a 25 hp mercury 4 stroke on it. I believe its the short transom.I dont have to many ponds around me for a bigger boat like micro said so it seemed like a gd boat for what im using it for.Was going to set it up like micros [wich looks very nice by the way ! ].Wont be able to use the 25 in to many ponds but the electic should be enough. Was going to put a 70 lb thrust on it ,up front.Been looking for used jons for a while now and nothing I like has turned up close enough for me to check out.
  9. anyone have one or heard any reviews on them ?Thinking about getting one would be interested in some of your thoughts.
  10. just over 10 lbs on a 1/4 oz jig
  11. best flouro I have used so far.I would have bought quite a few spools at that price.Dont have to respool as much in my oppinion. I never have seen it get brittle or weak after using it,and I fish just about every day in the spring and fall.
  12. I , probably like most people in their younger days started off with a spinning outfit. So when I started to use a baitcaster I wanted everything to be the same as it was as the spinning outfit.I really have never understood why people who reel with the left hand with a spinning rod go and get a right handed baitcaster.Personally I have no problem reeling with my right hand but I have no feeling or "finesse" using the rod in my left hand .
  13. was going to get the boga grips but was wondering if there were any others some might suggest that would be as accurrate and perhaps less expensive ?

I actually did pretty good on the dancin eel more than once
  16. I primarily fish fenwicks and I love them.I have never had a problem with them.Ive tried my buddies glx loomis and I can say I saw no reason to switch.I have the techna av , the crankshaft, golden wings, hmg, and a cofi and I love them all.Ive had a few of them for quite a few yrs now as you can tell cause i dont believe they make a couple of the models I mentioned anymore.

    xrap sub walk
  18. rw - thats because you (like i) use a shimano and we dont have to !
  19. pacas, rages, and pork.I would use pork all the time if it wasnt as much of a pain.I love the rages and the pacas but when you go through a whole package in one outing when they are biting- thats a little much. That being said they do have awesome action and they have a much of a better color selection.
  20. Mine is definately the jig.Early spring in the 1/4 oz size & up to 3/4 oz later in the year when water is warmer & im fishing deeper.I used to use all pork trailers but now I use alot of the new plastics like the pacas & the rages which both work great.Only problem is they dont last for very long.My pb has come from the jig ( just over 10 lbs ) and the thing I love about them most is they seem to always catch quality fish.
  21. nitro- i give you credit because i would have snapped the 2 cnd time.I have been known to have a short fuse while I am on the ocean comm. fishing and I think it might carry over in a situation like that. Some people r clueless so you cant get that mad ,but when they know better - thats when its time to lay down the law.
  22. Like rw said , green gd in any water for the most part.I would definately use it over the clear .

outcome for me is usually quality fish if your talking about real early spring ; when the water is in the 40 s.Im usually a jig guy but that time of year the jerk bait gets the nod the majority of the time.Have caught them up to 8 lbs on it.
