  1. I take a short section of plastic worm and put it on the hook point. Most of the time if you crawl things real easy around cover, the worm section is enough to keep it from hanging but once you get a bite, that worm section is no match for a hard hookset. It's probably not the most ideal way of making it weedless but it works if you keep it slow and easy....plus it's cheap.
  2. You got a video cam? You really should run it on your shift.
  3. I only use the Lobster at night. The Craw and Baby Craw get most of the work on my boat. The Baby Craw on a 1/4 oz finesse jig is a killer, plus it skips real well with heavy line.
  4. Yeah, thats good stuff. Probably hits 'em 5 minutes after they leave.... ;D

Well, whichever way it happened was BS.

I think it was the same situation. I'd have to look back but it seems like they were 2 games better than a division winner (forgot exactly who and which division) that got in.

It's going to happen but it really sucks for whoever it is that gets left out. I believe the Patriots got left out a couple years back with 11 wins. The entire NFC needs to be realigned in my opinion....stuff like that shouldn't happen. To get in the playoffs a team should at least be 1 game above .500.

  13. The reason is you can't get more than 30-40 people to buy one fishn hard will appreciate that comment ;D
  14. Why not? Everybody has an opinion.
  15. The guy who mentioned buying used is right. You may not get every option you want but you'll save tons of money and get 'more' boat. I'd never consider buying new unless I won the lottery or just had the extra money laying around to pay straight cash up front. As far as the options if you do buy a brand new one..... Dual console - my opinion is no, passenger console takes up a lot of space but then again, it may be necessary for you if you fish with your son a lot. Merc 2 stroke - excellent choice Minn Kota TM - good choice. If you buy a 20'+ boat, I'd go ahead and get the 36v. It adds extra weight with the 4th battery in there but the power is nice to have. Power Pole - if you fish lakes shallow enough and you have the extra loot, I say go for it. You can always take it off and sell it if you dont like it. SI at bow and console? - Yes. Both. Do I want GPS, chartplotter, lakemaps capabilities? - Yes, these are valuable tools on the water. Auto bilge - yes, definitely Jackplate - hydraulic yes, manual no. You can dial in a hydraulic plate 100x easier. Really not necessary but taking off in shallow water is nice and it will help you get peak performance from your rig. Pump out option - yes. good for recirculating new water in and out and filling your bag at weigh in. Onboard charger - yes, definitely. Rough water ride? - I'd look at Champion first EDIT: As you can tell from the responses so far, most people are partial to the boat brand they currently own. I suggest you go to several different dealers and get test rides on a few of the brands you are looking at and decide for yourself. Dont limit your choices. Try as many as you need to and make the right decision FOR YOU. It's your money. You are also buying new. The dealers are at your mercy....they want to sell boats. To get started in the hunt, you should first decide what is the most important thing you want in a boat.....the one thing you will not compromise. If that happens to be ride quality in rough water you should get names of boats known for a good rough water ride and look at them first, then move on to the 2nd most important thing you want. The process of elimination will get you the best boat FOR YOU. You can get the bells and whistles on any brand of boat.
  16. Good to see the LBH name on the board again. Welcome back Russ!

  18. That's the first one that surprised me! I'm a Luhr Jensen Hot-Lips Express fan myself and I hope to get in some more deep-cranking next year... The funny thing is, if I made a Top 3 list for the last 10 years, the DD22 would be on every list.
  19. I still believe an AFC team wins the Super Bowl. I see the Saints back in it though. Everything is coming together for them to make a strong run. Getting slapped by the Browns worked wonders in New Orleans.
  20. - 1/4 oz football jig - DD22 - top secret jerkbait ;D
  21. I think the Skins know that they're getting rid of McNabb and benching him the last few games this year sounds like they just want to take a 'look-see' at Grossman to see if he's learned anything or gotten any better. Depending on what happens with Rex will determine which way they go in the draft. If it was me pulling strings for the Skins, I'd be looking to trade up in the draft to get a QB because I dont think Grossman's going to cut it.
  22. Cant do Jordan's. Dont like hi-tops. My kid sure does like 'em though. $$ ;D And Air Max's too.
  23. Yeah Mike, the first year I played youth hockey our uniforms were almost identical to the Rangers uni's and our team name was the Rangers. It stuck and I've been stuck with them for a LOOOOONG time. ;D Where's Messier when you need him? I'm glad to see them with a good coach. Tortorella played here in town back in the late 80's in the ECHL. Virginia Lancers. The dude was relentless. He was usually the smallest guy on the ice but he worked harder than anybody on any team. He never gave up and played 110% at all times. So I'm a Tortorella fan from way back. His style and effort made a big impression on me. It was nice to see him win the Stanley Cup a few years ago too. He has definitely paid his dues.
  24. I've been stuck on Nike Shox for a few years now and have quite a few different pairs. Seems the last couple pairs I've gotten are not comfortable at all and the overall quality has gone downhill. Bad stitching, soles coming off, etc...I think it's time for a change. Any brand better than the others? Asics? Puma? Adidas? What do you wear?
  25. I think the Cup will be won by an East team this year. If I had to lay money down on one team right now it would be Philly, as much as I hate to say that. > My Rangers are looking decent this year as well but they seem to be allergic to the playoffs and/or playoff wins.
