Good post Mike. In my opinion, the Lock n Haul type savers are more attractive to people because they are slightly easier to use and stow away. That was the biggest reason I looked at them. My current trailer style transom saver is about 5 ft long and thats no joke. I dont doubt that Lock N Haul makes an excellent product, in fact, I know several guys who use them, I just cant see how it works better than a trailer style for 'saving the transom from excess stress'.

I use a transom saver that attaches to the trailer. I dont see how the Lock n Haul keeps any strain off the transom. The weight of the motor is still there, plus more when you hit a hump in the road. The trailer type doesnt allow any more force than the usual weight of the motor when hitting a hump or bump, the weight is transferred to the trailer, not the transom. Which is the whole point. I've seen this topic go pages and pages before and it usually ends up 50/50. Maybe someone with a physics degree will come along and drop some knowledge on us.

So there is no nut on the bottom? Just rubber washers? That doesnt sound right but if thats the case, get yourself a Dremel and a cutting disc and go to work. Every trolling motor I've ever removed involved one guy up top on the screw/bolt turning it while someone, usually with skinny arms, holding the nut with a wrench.

A couple of those look real close to a ZOOM Z Flat. I like.

I dont think the Ravens offense is good enough to hang with the Patriots. The Patriots may give up some points on defense but the opposing teams offense better be able to score at will to keep up. The Ravens dont have the offense to score like that. As much as I hate to say it, I think the Patriots make another Super Bowl appearance.

I guess the old saying 'anything's possible' could come true if he still has that man-crush on Tebow, but seriously, I just dont see him jumping to the NFL. Stranger things have happened though. :-?

Worked? This is the perfect year for the BCS to have a +1. TCU plays at Oregon, winner gets Auburn. Thats the only way to do it when you have 3 undefeated teams. TCU got left out in the cold. Not sure if they could hang with either one or not but they are undefeated just like 1 and 2. I think Auburn squeaks by Oregon in the title game. I understand what you are getting at, but if Boise had made that chip shot of a kick against Nevada then there would be 2 unbeatens, then what? That's irrelevant. It didnt happen. If it had happened, there still should be a +1. They would just have to pair up 1-4 some way and then the winners play. Probably not because the ACC is so weak, nonetheless, with a +1 they would get a chance to prove themselves. Of the Pac10 teams only 6 of the 10 are .500 or better overall with 2 of those 6 only being 6-6....where the ACC has 9 of 12 teams at .500 or better. So you never know, I sure wish VT had closed the deal on Boise and buried JMU like they were supposed to. By the way, I still think the BCS is seriously flawed and until college football figures out a better system without losing the money that the BCS gives up, sadly, nothing is going to change. It's all about the mighty $$.

My guess would be that it's just the pressure of being Peyton Manning, super elite QB robot guy. Everyone expects him to be able to just fling the ball around the field, make plays and win games. Thats got to be a lot of pressure on him knowing that people expect him to carry the team all by himself with the teams many injuries and lackluster O line play. He's definitely forcing throws and that is out of character for him. I think the defense needs to tighten up and keep the opposing offense off the field a little more often. That would help Peyton out a ton.
