With a good running game, a team can hide their QB and get away with him not doing a whole lot and still be competitive. There are several teams that do that these days because there's a lack of elite QB's in the league right now.
  4. After it's caped! ;D No doubt. Awesome buck!
  5. Happy Birthday fellas!
  6. You're right man....My team has 6 ;D Thanks Wayne....that kinda knocks the shine off the '5 rings' thing. And Brent....as I said in my post above, 'I could be wrong'......and it didnt say that Bob Ryan guy was working for NFL Films at the time he made the comment, although he is now. He was probably a Cowboys employee way back then when he said it, then got hired by NFL Films on down the road. Yeah, thats it, thats the ticket.

  8. I could be totally wrong about this but didnt someone in the Cowboys organization designate Dallas as America's Team? Shouldn't that have come from somebody NOT associated with the Cowboys? As in, an impartial NFL analyst or commentator? Thats like giving yourself a nickname and expecting everybody around you to call you that.
  9. EWG all the way.
  10. You been spying on me? ;D On a frost I'll just whip out a credit card and make a couple swipes and down the road I go. My driver's license does a pretty good job too.
  11. This sounds like what I'd do as well. Only thing is, (if you're ledge isn't a straight down 90 deg. drop) I'd probably sit on top of the ledge, throw deep and bring it up hill, that way your jig will always be touching the bottom. Other than that, the spoon will probably be the most logical choice once you see/know that fish are present. I usually wont drop the spoon unless I am 'on' them....it's not a real good search bait.
  12. Sorry to hear everything got ugly up there Micro. The creeks and rivers here didnt get too out of hand but it was close. We got more rain than I first anticipated and it muddied up the whole upper end of the lake all the way down to Stony Creek. It was way more muddy than the 'stain' I was hoping for, plus the water temps in the upper creeks dropped 8 degrees in 3 days. I had to idle all the way out of the back of Beaverdam Creek where my ramp is out to the main channel before I could even think about getting on plane. Once we made it to the main lake it was like driving through a mine field with all the trash and logs and trees floating around.
  13. I bet Roy Williams feels real good about all that stuff he was talking a couple weeks ago, like when Romo throws to him it's not a very good ball but when he throws to Austin, its right on the money. ;D Those words came back and bit him when that one pass went straight through his hands and popped him in the facemask. Looked like a decent pass to me. Good stuff, regardless! Way to go Pack!

Mike, Mike, Mike ...we've been over this before. I'll give you a quick refresher though: The Raiders are football challenged at the moment*....please bear with them. * - last 6 years
  15. If you aren't actually under a sponsorship and just have the wrap, you should have lit his ... up, no questions asked. If you are under a sponsorship, you still should have said something....in a friendly way. Some people are truly stupid. Obviously he didn't think he was doing anything wrong.

A good quote that comes to mind is: "They are who we thought they were" -Dennis Green In the first 6 games, Denver was playing way over their heads. They've come back to reality now.

  18. Wow Simp! I feel sorry for you man....and your partner. Sounds like he doesn't have a clue. It also sounds like your non boater days are over, as they should be. You had enough non-boater dilemma's during that one tournament to last a lifetime. Just sign up as boater and kick some butt.
  19. Welcome Caleb! Good talking to you today.
  20. I dont doubt it, I just dont get into the screaming. Maybe I need to listen to more of their songs....the few I've heard so far were nothing but screaming. If they would do some instrumentals, I could probably deal with it. ;D
  21. Still listening to some of them. I hit up Lamb of God first because of the rave reviews here and I really liked the guitar riffs....but when they started screaming uncontrollably, it kind of ruined it for me. I let my son borrow my iPod so I havent actually put anything on it yet.

  23. I love it. Smith Mtn needs the water and with it being stained, it should turn on a pretty dependable spinnerbait bite. Bring it on!
  24. Good call Dave.
