  1. google gatorjetboats
  2. little dinghy, lowered expectations, i could go on
  3. If I remeber correctly the Renegades were a much heavier boat than some of the other Javelins
  4. igloo makes a cooler that has speakers built in, along with an mp3 input. kill two birds with one stone
  5. www.gatorjetboats.com not exactly a cost effective boat when you compare it to a tracker, but it combines a big boat feel with a real shallow draft when running. plus they have big block chevy's in them
  6. where are you located? i have one at the house that came off my old trailer.
  7. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_18071_250003000_250000000_250003000_250-3-0
  8. I would disagree with cart on the 20 year bass boat deal. I agree that the rear is the best place for livewells but many trackers, most aluminum duck boats, and quite a few jet boats are all between the console with no real issues. In his case, it may be the only way to go. You should be fine with the side storage being used for a rod locker. That does look like it would work, and then put your livewell between the consoles as far back as you can stand it.
  9. I did until recently. As long as you keep your total weight under 3500lbs, you should be fine. thats a pretty decent fish and ski
  10. I might be wrong but isnt that front jump seat a livewell as well as the one inbetween you and the co-angler? I wouldnt mess with that if I didnt have to as it is hard to find other areas for livewells vs storage. Also, is that ski locker in the floor big enough for rods? If not, then I think that I might try to expand that co-angler side long bench seat to make it a rod locker. Should just be able to cut into the fiberglass that seperates that storage area from the underside of your casting deck.
  11. Anyone replaced their control cable? I have a 1986 40hp Johnson. You almost have to stand on the box to get the thing past idle. Is this a hard job to do? I did replace the steering cable and that wasnt a huge deal so I think this will be easy.
  12. I get the " can you catch fish out of a duck boat?" thing a lot, but no worries. Mine is paid for and fish react to it the same as they do a Skeeter
  13. Sorry about not having pics up yet. Wife and I had our first baby that same night that I promised you pics, and I am certain that she wasnt up for me snapping a trolling motor pic in between contractions... it will be a week or so before I can get them. My brother borrowed my boat saturday and then promptly wrecked my trailer. its sitting at the marina uncovered, tires blown, fenders gone, transom saver broken.....
  14. Dont have pics, but will try to take some tonight. Its really pretty simple. Just get two blades, face them in the opposite direction of rotation (that way the cutting edge is facing where the weeds will be rotating) and clap down. It looks pretty similar to your gadget in placement. I have found that Lennox blades work nicely, Dewalt just doesnt cut it
  15. I have the same thing. My version is two sawzall blades and a couple of clamps. Works really well
  16. 1972 Kingfisher 15' Custom Camo 1986 Johnson 40hp runs about 29 GPS
  17. Do I face negativity and assumptions when I fish? Yes, but thats whats happens when you have a camo boat in an urban area. It doesnt bother me. Thats what clubs are for, to get you in a group of people who share your passion and are willing to teach/learn from each other.
  18. I wouldnt change much, but if you do remove the console I want it. I just converted an old cooler to a livewell with a divider. That may be the best upgrade that you could do
  19. Can you just add wire to it using a spice kit or have they cut off too much power wire?
  20. Kozak, The 3.0 does not have anywhere near the power that the Explorer, Dodge, or GM products do. Essentially you have a Mazda motor that was intended for fuel economy and fleet use, not towing. That is why on the newer Rangers they only offer a 4wd extra cab in a 4.0, Explorers are only offered in a 4.0 or 5.0V8. All of this being said, I think that you might be able to tow a boat that size if a few conditions are met. One, you dont tow it that often. Two, you MUST know what gear ratio your Ranger is. If you do not know, do a search on therangerstation.com or Explorerforum.com for axle codes. This is important because it seriously affects how your engine and trans will perform when towing. My 4.0 Explorer with 3.27 gears struggled with a 15' Glassboat. Three, regardless of what you tow with, you need an aux trans cooler added to your truck. The extra strain that towing adds to a trans equals heat. Heat is a transmissions worst enemy. These are less than 50 bucks and can help to prevent a trans rebuild that will cost a min of $1500. The two websites that I gave you have a wealth of knowledge for your vehicle. Both offer memberships for free and each have close to 100K members on it dedicated to nothing but your trucks. They will be able to assist in any questions or repairs that you will ever come across. GB
  21. Looks like a Ski barge, just that all the lettering fell off and he doesnt know how to read it
  22. .22LR I have the same issue, the only problem is that it is my cat and the wife will not allow me to shoot it.
  23. Being that you got married a month ago, you probably can afford to use those man points. Wait a few years, get a kid on the way. Then you will learn to use man points wisely...
  24. 96 Explorer. 2" of lift, 31" MT's on Eagle Alcoa Wheels, modified intake for creek crossings, Rhino Liner Paint Job I can take the boat anywhere I need to without fear of getting my pretty paint scratched.
