Computer help for dummies.....
Can someone please try to explain to me how to post a link ? I've been through the help section, but I still don't get it. Apologies to the moderators if it's been asked before.

I don't get it?
Downsize and slow down. Throw some 2" tubes on a 1/16oz jig if you have an ultralight rig. Jig as slow as you can, you'll be suprised at what you can catch. Bass won't pass up an easy 2" meal(snack).

Stoopid lure name thread
An eggroll shaped jigging spoon with hooks at either end designed to catch multiple fish at once. Imported from China. It's called the "Tu Kan Chew"

Yo Muddy a little help here....
Thanks a ton, Muddy. I think the two places in Sheepshead Bay (Jordan's & Brennans and Carrs) will be just the ticket. Our commercial work trucks are prohibited on the Belt Parkway, makes traveling around a little difficult & parking a hassle. We cut down 65th st. to ave P to get were we are going. We wont have time to see Coney Island, we work 10-11 hour days. Leaves enough time to shower and eat and maybe a little night fishing (Let's see....no shower and no meals = more fishing ;D) Will post when I get home to let you know how we did. Thanks again, Muddy. LBH- I'll take that advice. I hope I don't fall in, they'll eat me

Yo Muddy a little help here....
We will be working a job in Brooklyn next week (at the Tamaqua Marina) We are staying at the Comfort Inn on Emmons Ave, right off of Knapp St. Any good eats reasonably close by ?? Italian, good deli, etc.- we aint picky. P.S. The motel parking lot is right next to the water. Will bring a rod to see whats up in the bay. When we were there two weeks ago, the snapper blues were THICK in the water !! What else is swimming around this time of year ?

Ponds
NEVER rule out a body of water. One of my "honey holes" is a row of three tiny ponds that sit in front of a mostly vacant industrial park that runs along a major interstate. I could prop up a dead guy and put a rod in his hand and he'd catch fish at this place Seriously, a lot of places like this get overlooked. You'd be amazed.

Okuma Rod Warranty
Okuma's website has a forum in which their factory reps participate, much like what Bantam from Shimano does here. I'm sure you'll get your answer there. From what I've read on their forum, they seem to back their products fairly well.

Snakehead program on National Geographic tonight.
New Jersey Fish and Wildlife wants to be notified if you catch one, does not want them released. Same for flathead catfish. Upper midwest guys - a little help here, correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't the goby considered an invasive species when it was found in your waters ? I've heard it's now a major food source for smallies. BPS even sells goby baits.

Real Philly Cheese Steaks
BEWARE!!! If your not in Philly or South Jersey, don't bother getting a "Philly style cheesesteak" anywhere else. It just aint the real thing. A big part of it is the rolls we use here. They just don't make them like ours anywhere else.

pike or pickeral?
I looked at the fish identification chart thats in the New Jersey Fish and Widlife Guide. It's a Northern Pike. Nice fish !! How big was he ?

Awesome night last night
Went out from about 10pm to 1 am. Temp. here in South Jersey in the low 50's and cloudy with a storm front coming in for the weekend. Had some of the best fishing of the season. I was throwing a black/blue 2" Yum Vibra King tube on a 1/16 oz jighead with my ultralite rig. Eight LMB landed (two lost), one was a three pounder, the rest were one to two lbs. Then I found the crappies. Landed seven of them, not one smaller than 11". Biggest was about 14". All of these fish on the SAME jig ! Man what a night.

......and then the fight started.
True story from a couple of years ago. We had been fighting all day. She decides to go visit her mom. Me and the kids in the living room as she's about to leave. Mr. Don't Know When To Shut Up (that would be me) says "Well, what are WE gonna have for dinner ?" She storms into the kitchen, I hear the freezer door open, next thing I see is a huge pack of frozen chicken breasts flying at me followed by some frozen vegetables, etc." Here's your @#$% dinner" she's yelling at me. Kids are laughing their butts off. Even I laughed about it after the shock wore off. What a woman. Then the fight ended.

......and then the fight started.
She asked me what time it was. I said there's a clock on the stove. Been eatin' sandwiches for a week.

Just started using Sufix Elite 'cause I got it dirt cheap at Wally World on clearance, but have not used it long enough to have an opinion yet. Trilene XL has been my line for over twenty years.

Anyone ever heard of these baits?
Sometimes when the bite is off little stuff like that is just the ticket. You might might get some panfish, but bass would hit that also.

How Do You Spell S-T-E-W-P-U-D?
The next one thats gotta go from that team is T.O. I remember when Philly got him and San Francisco fans warned us "Watch out for him he'll destroy your team" and we said "Nah, he'll be great here" Now he's started to do the exact same thing in Dallas. For the record, I'm a Vikings fan here deep in Iggles country, am not part of the Dallas Haters Society

Anyone tying the "Berkley Braid Knot"? Thoughts?
It looks like a trilene knot doubled up.
