  1. Sure is! The Big O Mata has a 5/0 Owner XXX hook in those 2 sizes. Cant beat it!
  2. Thanks Guys! I'm going to run it all month.
  3. Check them out! Sale prices are currently shown. Built with an Owner XXX Strong hook and a heavy weed guard. This jig is built for hardcore fishing. This hook is the best hook I have ever fished and even seen put into a jig. I've tested this jig and several other hooks. It doesn't get any better then this jig. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/big-o-jig To go along with this sale I have tossed the Mata Jig in it. Which is also offered in the Big O Series or the Classic series heads. This jig is the same head I offer in my other styles with heavy round rubber and silicone. This jig is a great jig when you need action and a large profile. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/g-mop-jig
  4. Any change in the bottom contour can be considered structure or will hold fish. Weeds, ledge, brush, dip, ridge, chunk rock. Any of those or other types of changes will hold fish. If you have a bowl lake as I call them that are just a dug out hole any little change can and usually will hold fish.
  5. Anymore I use either my cosmic craw or a Rage Craw.
  6. I also have a Grass jig that would be exactly what you are describing. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/grass-jig
  7. This year I've probably only lost a couple jigs. Most of the time I can get them back.
  8. Hey Cliff, Sounds like some good fishing.
  9. This is what was my first thought.
  10. I fish pretty much year round. The only breaks I take are for hunting and sometimes do both in the same day.
  11. When I build them I always epoxy the weedgaurd in first. Then tie/band. If you want them separated more try and put the hook in the middle of skirt. You might have to pull them side to side for separation.
  12. Set your drag accordingly but no issues with the line.
  13. If that maxes out the depth of the lake, it might not have a thermocline. Mermet springs is a dive facility. This will give you an idea of the drastic change once you hit a thermocline. Surface: 86°F | 15' - 25' Visibility 15 Foot: 82°F | 15' - 25' Visibility 20 Foot Platform: 81°F | 15' - 25' Visibility 45 Foot: 55°F | 20' - 30' Visibility 55 Foot (Thermocline): 51°F | 25' - 40' Visibility 85 Foot Platform: 42°F | 25'+ Visibility Bottom: 42°F | 30'+ Visibility
  14. LOL, Been there done that.
  15. Great fish as always Big O.
  16. I've always had the curl follow the bend of the hook.
  17. That is a nice crappie.
  18. Wow. Nice catch!
  19. Congratulations Bass_Fanatic!!! You are the Winner of 6 Blind Dates!!! I want to thank everyone for their submissions. One Eyed Julie and I have picked the winner along with you all also. We are going with Blind Date. So if any of you are bored, you can now go to my website and mail order a Blind Date. A dozen if need be.
  20. It actually works out really nice. The bull pup design keeps the over all length really short with a full length barrel. Its lighter or just better balanced imo.
  21. It is. LOL
