  1. I have always wanted to try a split grip. Then I fished a Falcon. I liked it a lot but I do want to try the GLX and/or a Croix
  2. I only see crankin rods and flippin rods. If they make a bcr like that I'll sell you one.
  3. I was thinking BATF will pay him a visit. I dont think he has the FFL (I dont remember the classification level) license to build that type of stuff.
  4. do you tie those on a barbless head?
  5. Wow! Thats a nice fish. Congrats to you two.
  6. Honestly I doubt you would save a few bucks. When people ask me this question my reply is: If you want to make your own, buy the head and tie your own skirts. A mold is 30-40 dollars Lead pot is 40-90 Lead you have free but you have to clean it by melting it down and its nasty buring stuff with wheel weights. That will just get you a mold and pot. This doesn't include the lure parts plus all the other little tools and stuff you need. You can buy alot of jig heads for just the 150 bare bones cost of it.
  7. Very nice fish!
  8. dd22 thats pretty much the only dd I throw.
  9. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/zenith-shakey This one here is by far my favorite. I've used alot of different types but the flat based football head along with the wide gap hook just out fishes the rest I've used.
  10. I am truly sorry for your loss. I wish you and your family the best.
  11. Thanks Guys! RW, Senile1 is correct. I needed to change the name awhile back so its the MATA Jig.
  12. Geez Big O. Nice bass!
  13. I want to personally thank everyone that helped with ideas on updating my website to make ordering easier, faster, and less confusing. I have implemented big changes lately and wanted to make this huge announcement to all members of Bass Resource. I have been receiving a lot of feedback from customers. I am always looking for ways to make my site, service, and product better. Here are the latest changes. I am now offering Jig heads/Shakey heads in discounted packs that will save money. These are offered in a 5pk of the same color and style. All size Lead jigs or jig heads in that style are the same price now. The only options are wire tie or rattle band. This has drastically changed the features of my site and made it easier for the customer to order. Last of all, and one of my favorite changes. All skirt color options are sold under the same option. No more image material or standard colors. Every jig is offered with your choice of skirt at the same price. If you have time please check it out and let me know how you like the new layout. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/ More announcements to come later. Thank you all for your support! Mike Siebert
  14. awesome fish congrats
  15. I do sometimes. This year at Lake St Clair the first few days of our trip the fishing was like you said. We caught so many whites we got tired of it. It didnt matter if we were in 30 fow jigging for walleye or on the bank. We easily caught over a hundred a day. Reel one in 10-20 followed. Every cast we caught one on the bank. The lure most of the time didnt stay in the water more then 5 seconds. Most of the time it was hit once it hit the water.
  16. I agree 100% dealing with this issue right now. I have a broken switch I need to fix.
  17. Sounds like you found a good feeding school. Lots of fun there.
  18. I also use high speed. 6.3 +
  19. cool thanks for sharing
  20. It probably cracked the element when he put water on it. Those elements are fragile especially when rapidly cooled.
  21. Wow, Nothing better to be there with your Dad when he caught that!
