  1. I have more than 150 Dts in various colors and sizes, the top color producers for me have been Bleeding Olive Shiner, Hot Mustard and Helsinki Shad.....strange, I have abused mine to no end and never have I broken a bill.
  2. There is a store locator on the Costa site, just enter your zip code and you will get a list of local places that sell them...I got a pair last year, they are worth every penny.
  3. Try to avoid the VMC, the hook points tend to break pretty easily
  4. The Best by a long shot is the Decoy Down Shot hook.......It has a swivel on it like the VMC spinshot hooks only it has the line tie eye on one end and the slot on the other end your weight line slides into and the hook quality is far superior to the VMC spinshots.....it is basically the same as the new drop hooks that Gamakatsu had at ICAST that are coming out next year sometime...
  5. The spinshots are ok, the point on them seems to break off somewhat easily....Gamakatsu has a new finesse swivel hook coming out very soon that they showed at Icast, similar to the spinshots only it will only require one knot...
  6. L B F .com gets most of my orders and TW is second......L B F is the only place with a larger selection than TW....TW has a west coast slant so if you are fishing more swimbaits, TW has a larger selection.
  7. Forgot the trick worm and kuttail worm worked on the surface.
  8. Heddon Torpedo, Rico, and LC T-Splash have produced a lot for me in Florida ponds in addition to the baits mentioned above...
  9. I have 2 of the KVD frogs and they both fill with water and sink.....not every few casts, that I could deal with; they sink after walking about 6 inches....total junk to me...the Koppers have been about the best for me, although it's been awhile since I had a good frog bite..
  10. It is absolutely wonderful for the first couple of weeks....it breaks down fast and begins to fray after that....I have used several spools of it thinking maybe I just got a bad batch, but it is the same story every time...back to the regular Power Pro for me...
  11. Lucky Craft T-Splash maybe?
  12. Kahuna Kuttail Black or Junebug, Yum Ribbontail Black or Junebug, Trick Worm Black or Junebug.
  13. Best use would be to take the hook out and let the kids play with it in the tub. Seriously these baits are a joke.
  14. good riddance, tired of the "thread pollution"

  16. Lindy EZ Tube Weights come with or without rattles and attach to the hook inside of the tube.
  17. Plenty of stuff I love from Megastrike, the Shake2 jigs aren't one of those items. I use Picasso and Keitech. The Keitech tungsten football head jigs are awesome.
  18. Castaic Mattlures (soft ones) the hard ones are fine.

Castaic makes a Jerky J soft jerkbait. Looks about like everyone else's. Fluke, Shad Assasin, Berkely Power Minnow, and on and on.

Ordered some from Bass Pro a few days ago, they had both sizes and almost all of the colors in stock.
  21. I have a note to myself to slam my hand in the car door before I order form those turkeys again....The whole shipping rate by the dollar amount of your order has to go...I don't appreciate people profiting off of my shipping charge.
  22. Taking a break from the freshwater roast and heading out to Boca Grande tomorrow to work on some grouper, snapper, and maybe a tarpon.....12 hours = lots of water and sunscreen...
  23. Too Funny......Of course it has to be a Senko---because if you really want a newbie or a child to catch a fish on an artificial bait your first choice would be that. Cast it out and let it sink and you will catch some fish.....nobody said set the kid up with an ***.....when it really counts you use the best,GYCB, and if you can't afford it then you find a high quality less expensive alternative like ***.....

The Booyah Pipsqueak Buzz planes very quickly and runs great fast or slow retrieve..also has similar sqeaky sound that the Cavitron has only louder....
  25. we use megastrike attractant, it is a gel type texture, so it stays on your bait much longer than the sprays....we mostly use it when it is dark out, early morning and evening and yes it definitely does seem to help generate more bites and I think it helps the fish hang on to the bait longer for better hookups
