Power Loading
X2 on the wetting the bunks. Never had to "power load". If I get it within a foot or so of the front stop roller, I hook up the strap and a few cranks and its done. This also give you a chance to shove front end one way or the other for minor centering adjustments. Good idea to hook up the strap anyway before pulling out. Ramp angle does play a role in this.

Advice On Reel For Plastics, Frogs, Other
If you don't mind me asking, where are you finding them for $105-$110? TW has leftys for $119.00 and every one I've watched on ebay has gone for around $130.00 with shipping. I'd like to get another 200E7 but didn't have the cash when TW had them too. Thanks.

Flourocarbon Breakage Issues
My thought exactly. Be sure to ALWAYS wet the knot and cinch it down slowly but tight. As others have said, I have had it on a couple reels for more than a year and one reel was on it's 3rd year and had no issues. $20 and up for 200 yds, I'm gonna do my best to make it last. Big-O taught me something I've been doing religiously. Before heading in for the day, clean your line. Make a long cast and reel in the line through a clean towel. Seems to help.

Lure Retreiver?
Excellent point! If you have the confidence to throw a bait somewhere and know if it hangs, you can get it back, that will definitely get you more bites.

Soft Swim Baits
Roger- Do you rig the Big-EZ and Skinny Dipper weightless and if so, do the remain upright? I'm sure the slower speed retreive will aid in this but if you speed them up, do the go off kilter?

Lure Retreiver?
I've found this type are more effective than the kind that slide down your line. Those work great if the hooks are not too badly embedded in whatever (stump, tree etc.) With this type you can actually push hard on the bait and dislodge a buried barb. There are times when the weight of a retriever sliding down your line is not enough to get it free, especially with jigs. I've got a couple crankbaits stuck in Kentucky lake trees that the slide down ones couldn't free. The one JF pictured is a good choice as it has chains that should grab the other hooks but it most likely won't help you if you just set the hook real hard with your jig into a tree. Nothing to grab on and not enough force to bust it loose. If you can reach it, these will free it. http://mygogetit.com/ http://www.tackletour.com/reviewgogetit.html http://www.frabill.com/accessories/9865.html JMHO.

Curado 50E Help.
Thanks John. Same here with 2 on, 4 off. I'm throwing weightless flukes etc, so It's probably not even 1/8 oz. Must be how it is. As long as it works.

Curado 50E Help.
I have to tighten the knob until it almost will not turn anymore so all the way down. One thing I didn't do was try it without the spring to see if the threads are bad but they seem fine. Just have to crank on the knob to achieve proper tension. Most reels have an o-ring to keep the knob in place and not in the lake but this has a spring. I will try to adjust without the spring to check threads but cannot leave spring out or with my luck the knob will end up at the bottom of the lake.

Curado 50E Help.
Just got a Curado 50E and it seems I have to almost bottom out the cast control knob to get the proper spool tension, even with the lightest weight baits. Casts great but I am wondering if this is normal. I removed the knob and the shim is there and also a spring. Both were re-installed as they were. Spring was installed upside down and it got much worse. Any thoughts? No problems casting so far but I thing something is wrong. Either spring too long or there should be a thicker shim? Thanks in advance.

Reusing Soft Plastics
Same here. Depends alot on the bait and how bad its damaged also. If they cost around a buck each they will be repaired. Some will be cut down and used as trailers. Some hit the trash. Mend-It doesn't seem to dry up now that it comes in the glass bottles. Just don't leave it open too long.

Those Carp Guys Are Out There
I'm always quite pleased when I hook a carp and actually land it. They fight twice as hard as a bass of the same size and they get huge. I've caught a couple 30+ and they can tow my boat around. Caught one years back while wading in waist deep water and the thing almost drowned me. I agree they aren't much to look at, but man do they pull!

Can't Control The Weather.
Took Monday and Today off work and headed up for some fishing last Sunday. From the minute I uncovered the boat until I left today, it rained, drizzled, poured, and the wind howled like he**. In 2 1/2 days, I think I only fished 4-5 hours tops. Got a few keepers Sunday night on a swimjig and Rage Craw. Yesterday morning I didn't get on the lake until 5:30 P.M. and it was still pretty windy. My aluminum boat is like a kite in the wind. I set up a drift along a weededge and was practically trolling the boat was going so fast. I hung in a weed and ripped it free and then I felt a little tick like a bluegill nipping it. I reeled down and hit him and here is the result. Right as I landed him it got eerily calm and darker. Not 5 minutes later the sky opened up and it started pouring. Back home we went. Fished maybe 45 minutes today and got 1 small one and a pike. This was the absolute worst 3 days of weather in a row I can remember fishing in. I thought I was on a Bass Resource Roadtrip. Got to spend alot of quality time with dad though.

Bps Website.
Anyone else go to BPS site and find the information that you used to be ables to access is no longer there? Example. I went to check on an Extreme widespool reel as they are $49.99 (a steal) and they do not list the features like wide spool, flippin switch, etc. I found the one that holds the most line so I assume that's the one but what happened? Now if you want to place an order on the phone due to price match or some other reason, what do you tell the operator. What's the part #? Uh well, I don't know. I think this is it. Can't be that hard to include a picture of the product, all relevant information associated with it etc. etc. Just my daily rant. Lures seem to have more info. Gimme back the old site. Sometimes change isn't a good thing.

Bps Pro Qualifier Xps Trigger Rod Or Cumara ?
Don't sell the PQ's short. $140.00 rod for $79.99 is pretty god deal. I picked up a 6'6" med Spinning and 6'6" MHF casting. Very light and sensitive. And they both have solid grips, which I prefer, not split grips. They are most likely going to revamp the lineup. The 6'6" is perfect for skipping an pitching weightless senkos etc. Soft enough tip and plenty of backbone. Haven't tried the baitcaster yet but I suspect it would handle spinnerbaits with no problems like DVT has said. I try not to carry too many rigs with me (4-5)so I need versatility and I think both of these rods will serve me well. I do keep 2 rods in the locker that are dedicated to one bait. Both 7'6" Extremes. One medium for Rage Shads and One MH for froggin. Braid mandatory. The other will be rigged according to the conditions and time of year.
