  1. There really isn't a 'best' way to fish a fluke. They're probably one of the most versatile baits. You can pretty much rig them however you can imagine it. Weightless, as well as with split-shots, produce for me all the time. One of my favorites is the double fluke rig. Google it.
  2. What is this thing?? Caught it on an Xr50... Really cool lookin' fish!
  3. WOW! :o That is probably one of the coolest looking bass I've ever seen! Amazing!
  4. Sunrise Blvd. Thank me later.
  5. Beautiful fish! One of my goals in life is to spend a week there just straight fishin!
  6. I'm interested as well. You guys that ordered one let us know how it is!
  7. Thanks a lot guys! It looks like Saddle Creek is just about right near where I'll be staying so I'll probably check it out! How far away from there is Tenoroc?
  8. Apparently there must be, since it's name is Lake Land... I'll be up there this weekend, anyone got any spots or lakes I should check out (fishable from shore)?? Can't travel too far 'cause I'll be with the girl and we're visiting her father. Don't know exactly where in Lakeland I'll be, but I'll let you know when I find out. Thanks!
  9. Definitely don't bring the kids. I thought it was okay. WAY TOO LONG, though. Got a little boring towards the end, and the blue man nudity, but it wasn't that bad.
  10. Hmmm let's see... I got a Pflueger Trion replaced with a brand new one due to a broken rod tip that wasn't my fault... -Garcia reel lube and oil -Rage Tail Anacondas -Rage Tail Lizard -BPS brand Stik-Os -Suffix Siege line -KVD Line & Lure -Screw-in bullet weights -XPS Pro Series Jerkbaits -Yamamoto Senkos -Zoom Super Flukes -broke 'til next week. :-/
  11. Bassn, Bass Pro is having a much better sale! Went there a few days ago and spent way too much lol. All their XPS lures were 25% off, the BPS brand trick sticks are 3 for $10, RC Lucky Crafts were on sale, etc etc. And I agree, Gander pretty much stinks... Though, I did get some Lucky Craft lures there a little while ago for 25% off in the bargain bin... I never even knew they carried them in the first place, until I walked by the bin full of em.
  12. That lake looks beautiful! Congrats!
  13. Very true. But, most of em are rated as the max power nowadays. No one that I talk to about car stereos even really knows what RMS means, though.
  14. Yeah, Xplods are serious garbage. Audiobahns aren't too bad, but there's definitely better stuff out there for the price. I used to have 4 Audiobahn 10's pushing 1200 watts in the back of a 1986 Honda Accord. Pretty much rattled the d**n thing apart! Man was that thing loud! ;D
  15. I gotta use the antiperspirant too... Speed Stick Irish Spring Icy Blast... Stuff smells lovely! But, if it's really really hot out, I'm a Mitchum Man.
  16. Holy !!!
  17. Yeah, I'm just no good at using the darn things, so I just make up excuses. ;D ;D
  18. Welcome to the boards! You're lucky livin' right next to Stick Marsh! I can't wait to fish there one day! I'm no jig fisherman, since none of the lakes I fish have craws, but they definitely produce nice big fish judging by the guys on this site. There's a couple of Stick Marsh experts that should be chimin' in here soon!
  19. Oh, it's possible. I've seen this posted before, took me like 15 minutes to get it! Just beat it again though, definitely possible.
  20. I'm a ways farther south, but we just got a pretty nice cold front, hopefully the weathers better up there for you! I'd hate to plan a trip to Stick Marsh and have bad weather. Good luck man!
  21. After a few recommendations here to try the Xcalibur Xr-50, I picked up a few and noticed that these things are friggin' loud! Excellent lures as well, caught a couple fish on 'em already. I can hear the lure rattlin' from at least like 30 feet if it's quiet outside. Which got me wondering, what kind of situations are better suited for louder vs. quieter baits??
  22. Great job, man! Sounds like you had a blast!
  23. That's the ONLY way to eat birthday cake!!
  24. I'm very impressed with my 7' M spinning Amp rod. Great rod lineup for $30! The reel seat on mine kinda cracked a little tiny bit, but it's no big deal. The rod has great action and is very light! I definitely like them more than the Shock or the Lightning Rod.
  25. You're a mad man!! Nice reels! I love the cork handles!
